Okay so my Amber Ale was in the primary two weeks, secondary 1 week (dry hopped with 1oz of cascades). Now been bottle conditioning for 3 weeks today. I tried one at one, two, and three weeks (last night) and it always has a chlorine finish to them. More of a astringent bite to them near the end. I cant really nail it down. My fermenter was sanitized with c-brite, along with bottles, their might have been some c-brite based solution in the bottle. Also, our house stayed between 68-72 degrees throughout the entire process. Please let me know what this taste could be comming from. The taste comes through in th aroma to me as well? STILL GOOD BEER, JUST BUGGIN ME. :rockin:

I believe you need to wash C-Brite off... It is not a no-rinse sanitizer. I would let it age another month and see how it tastes then.

I had a beer that tasted horrible even after 2 months. I let it sit another 6 months and it tasted great!

C-brite is not a sanitizer. It is a cleaner. You must wash off all cleaners. I believe it can be used as both, but in two separate steps. If you buy a no rinse sanitizer like Starsan or Iodophor.

According to a homebrew supply website.

C-Brite is a Chlorine Based Cleaner/ Sanitizer. This is an 0.8 ounce packet of a no rinse one step sanitizer and cleaner. Di1ute 1 to 2 packets of C-Brite into 2 gallons of water.

0.8 ounce packet
SKU: CLN10C1, Ship Wt: 2 oz. $0.45 QTY:

This makes sense because I am getting a chlorine bite at the end of a drink. Hmmm.... I wonder if it too will go away with time. :(
