WTH, not one of you posts a burger with a dripping egg on it... Egg makes it soooo much tastier too. I guess I'll have to go to Burger Bench and have a beer and burger. Take the dog for his puppy patty too.

Ground round with American cheese. A touch of hot sauce. Mexican Lager to wash it down with. I'm stuffed now.

You guys missed my Cheeseburger Addicts Anonymous days. For 3 solid years I ran monthly “Meat Ups” at various local burger joints.

If you’re on Facebook, look us up. Covid killed the group but new posts still occasionally pop up.

The Goat, Hazlet, NJ.

This burger was SLAMMING! Not in the pic, but I was drinking a Twin Lights Lager (a local brewery). Dessert and bruschetta bonus pics included.

Spinach and carrot turkey burgers made by my wife. On a brioche bun with homemade mac sauce, American, and pickles. With my 100% Vienna malt Vienna lager.

I had to have one even though I just finished 2 skirt steaks. 😁

i didn't see the chili, there for a second, i was thinking the queen of the homemade bread thread was going keto or something! :mug:

medium rare too! grind it yourself?
I made the chili and only had about a half pound of beef in it, so when I was looking in the freezer for a little bit more of suitable meat to add in and these Omaha Steaks burgers, that were gifted for Christmas nearly threw themselves at me, just begging to be used. There was a loaf of bread baked today, and there’s a little rice under that chilI, so didn’t go keto, and I’m not turning in my crown. 🤣 🍞👑

Going around voyeuring womens loaves...this is a family group, son! ;)

i'm not sure if you've seen hoppy's spliced loaves with massive oven spring!...i just wasn't sure why i was supposed to think of the children....

but anyway, this is the burger thread...and i'm eating beef jerky, with a side of kale and fruit..... :mug:

Well, I’ve learned a long time ago that I cannot control other people’s thoughts nor what they look at. But, I have made a career of influencing others so behave.o_O

well i turned 44 this year, i need to start practicing on you 'mature' women! especialy ones that brew, and drink! that way i can trade off brew days with them....

This is one area I need to learn. As I was forcefully reminded of yesterday.

We were at dinner talking about taking cooking classes. I said "I think maybe it would be good for me to take a bread-making class." To which my wife replied, immediately, deadpan, "Yeah that would be good."

Thankfully my son removed the knife that had been stabbed into my back and all was well.

You are welcomed. ;) Of course not all carbs are created equal, but generally when one reduces the carbs whether it’s beer, bread or just plain sugar that’s hidden in nearly everything that‘s prepared, the pounds come off. With that said, when we make foods at home, we know exactly what is going into them. Unbleached organically grown grains are better for us and the sourdough process is purportedly helpful to negate gluten sensitivities (Celiac disease individuals cannot afford to experiment/risk -just stick with naturally gluten free foods) and be easier to digest. Bread is not really a “bad food” over indulging is the problem and the crap additives don’t help. Your home baked bread can be made without sugar (or just enough to prove the baker’s yeast)
Getting a starter going isn’t hard, i have some dried or perhaps you already know someone local that is into natural leavened baked goods.
