Barrel Aged Beer Day is this Friday and we're celebrating it with a one-of-a-kind first Friday firkin. We aged a very special variation of 2014 Black Tuesday in a 5 gallon oak barrel which previously housed an employee batch of hot sauce. The result is an amazing blend of sweet, spice and barrel character. Be careful, this is a complicated and eccentric brew that you might just fall in love with
Chocolate Rain?
wow... i am "blown away" for sure.Roble Blanco seems to be mystery beer #1 a sour ale aged in tequila barrels.

Dammit. i hope this is good, because it sounds horrible.

And still no So Happens it's Tuesday.
I'm about to start taking bets on infection...
The hell? I thought in the voting the Manhattan won?
Old Fashioned was the cocktail that won. That was supposed to be Pilot beer #1. Roble Blanco is Mystery beer #1. Two different beers and categories.
Holy ****, completely glazed over that part. How the hell is a wheat beer 15%?!?!?! Wouldn't that fall more into the wheat wine category?i can't decide whether roble blanco sounds good or horrible. at 15% abv, i'm leaning towards horrible.

19.7 is very drinkable!A) How are they going to call 19.7% "drinkable"
B) That Roble Blanco sounds tasty! I'm a sucker for tequila
C) For me Oct was a good showing for the Bruery, but still not enough for me to sign up again next year.
I took the original release schedule early in the year and copied it to a spreadsheet for tracking purchases. I have it listed as a July release. And I remember it being kinda fitting: 6 months away from the BT release, and an "approachable" BA stout for summer. On the Bruery's original release schedule, **** was scheduled to be a December beer, if I recall correctly.
Because it probably started life as unbarreled White Oak Sap, base beer for White Chocolate.Roble sounds so bad to me. Why is it 15%...why?
Since "Roble Blanco" means "White Oak" in Spanish, it'd be pretty damn surprising if the base weren't White Oak Sap.Whether White Oak Sap was infected or not, that's certainly likely the base beer for Roble Blanco, which is a great base for what they are trying to do.
