Has anyone used their brew kettle to deep fry a turkey in before. My only concern with it is never being able to get either the smell or the slickness of the oil out and ruin future batches of beer. Any thoughts.

general consensus seems to be don't use the kettle for both. once oil is used for the turkey, it seems to be bad for beer brewing. never done it myself, but there are a million posts all over the interwebs about this

Okay thanks. I was going to search but the search function on the app version is a little sketchy at best. I figured it would be a no no but was hoping to not have to buy a new pot. Maybe I'll get an aluminum one for the turkey.
