When I am ready to bottle should I cold crash before? I am brewing a summer ale. Been at 68 for about 5 days. Still have a few weeks to go possibly but trying to be proactive.

Obviously you will need to confirm that fermentation is complete with your hydrometer before moving on.
As a generalization ( which is always dangerous) , I like to leave in primary for 2 weeks then cold crash for a few days, rack it to the priming bucket and bottle.
Cold crashing is not essential but does definitely help with clearing the beer of particulate material prior to bottling without any noticeable affect on the flavor.

Thanks el caro. I will try it and see. Feel like there so many ways of doing this stuff
