I am about to bottle my one gallon batch and I only have regular cane sugar. I know dextrose and corn sugar is better but I do not have them.

So my question is how much water and cane sugar should I boil up for a one gallon batch of beer.

not knowing the style or temperature, I would suggest about 0.8 ounces in a half cup of water.

That will get you about 2.5 volumes of CO2 at 70 degrees

I have done a ton of 1 gallon batches, and I usually do about .7 ounces.
