Transferring a pale ale to the keg tonight. My plan is to cold crash in the keg and add gelatin in the keg.

I know I've seen a previous post on HBT that someone bought a big syringe and hooked it up to some tubing and a ball lock quick connect and injected the gelatin solution into the keg that way. I do not have that at the moment, so I'm just going to open the top of the keg and put it in that way.

Is it OK to crash and fine with gelatin under pressure in the keg, like around 12 PSI? Or should I crash it under lower pressure? Does it make a difference?

EDIT: My initial question was going to be is there a better way to get gelatin in the keg without opening the top, hence the title, but I changed what my question was and forgot to change the title.
