Hello all. Posting for the first time from the Willamette Valley here in Oregon.
Got a keg system for Christmas and it inspired me to get back into brewing after a four year hiatus. Last Saturday I brewed a honey wheat ale and kegged an oatmeal stout that had been in my secondary in the closet since December of 2006. (That's a whole different thread starter.)
I force carbonated the stout and it is actually quite drinkable given the situation, though I think I slightly over-carbonated it. (First attempt and all.) I guess my question to ya'll is how long does it usually take you to finish off a keg? I'm a little embarrassed to say that the keg is floating in the cooler after only a week with only my wife and I drinking off it. Should I be seeking out local meetings? :cross:
