As long as the toy hasn't been soaking in the wort for too long, I wouldn't expect any problems. After all, the toy was absorbing liquid, not effusing something into it.
The mom's squeezing the toy into the bucket could well be countering this effect, however...
 
Well, bottled her up yesterday. Looked and smelled good. It's got a lot of strong wood and spice flavors that will take several months to mellow, so I guess I'll carefully start trying it out in a few months. Thanks all for the informative and entertaining thread :D
