I don't have the ability to brew outdoors with a turkey-fry burner, just my kitchen stovetop. I was thinking maybe I could build an MLT that could be heated by the gas flame and a high-density heating element at the same time, to really speed things up. But I worry about the flame heat melting any wire coatings or plastic that comes out the side of the pot. Has anyone designed, built or used such a setup?
