I'm looking to redo the pilots on my Brutus style system. I found the attached picture and thought, that's perfect as I have a handful of extra jets from my old burners. Problem is, I can't seem to find the brass fitting between the jet tip and the copper tubing anywhere, even Mcmaster Carr. Any ideas?

Also, does anyone happen to know what size the threads on the jet tips are?

Thanks.

It looks like a flare union. It would have 2 male flare ends.
Have you seen a replacement nozzle?
I think it would have a female flare nut-type end.

I got a couple of those at my local propane dealer. Show them the picture and they should be able to help you.

That's a flare to flare coupling. It looks like he tapped the flare nut to the same thread as the burner tip M8-1mm fine if I recall correctly.

Or..... he just wrapped a crap ton of teflon tape on the burner tip threads and jammed it in there.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ordered a flare coupling and "long" nuts for 1/4" tubing. The opening on the nuts is .26" diameter, the diameter of the threads on the jet tip are .32" so I should be able to tap the unthreaded end of the nut.

Thanks again.
