I wanted to see if any of you guys know... if I were to use a Amber colored glass 1 gallon fermenter for fermenting beer, if the beer would get light damaged if kept on out in the open?

I know the Amber colored bottles are supposed to protect it, but does it protect it enough for storing out in the open?

I wouldn't chance a new batch of beer to being light-struck. That'd be a shame.
For one gallon just slip a dark tee shirt over it...

Cheers!

Definitely. Beer should never be exposed to direct sunlight, regardless how thick or dark the glass might be.

While it keeps out light better than clear or green glass, it still doesn't keep out all of it. Put to somewhere out of the light or put something over it.
