should i age/condition my ales cold or at room temperature?

They need to be a minimum 3 weeks above 70 for average gravity beers to carb and condition, higher grav takes longer. After that it doesn't matter. But anything you want your yeast to do, like carb or clean up the beer, has to be done above the yeast's dormancy temps.

room temperature until they have reached the proper carbonation level. Then cellar them in the 50's ideally. You know cus we ALL have beer cellars :)

maybe the OP isnt asking what temp to carb his bottled beer. a little more info would be helpful. maybe he goes from carboy to keg. from what i read your beer will age faster if its warmer than fridge temps. OP some more details will get you a better answer.

I have about 300 bottles in various stages of aging. There isn't any way I'm going to buy a refrigerator big enough to age all them and beers of mine that spent a year at room temp tasted sooo good.
