Moved from IL to north eastern Alabama back in June. After a long hard struggle with selling the house in IL (lawyers and buyers dragging their feet repeatedly, finance companies screwing ) and finally closing on this house in October, I'm back to my hobbies again .

I want to regretfully apologize but thank the guy who went to the trouble of digging and sending hops rhizomes to me in the spring. Long story short-We had to rent this house while we waited for the IL house to sell and close and couldnt dig up or plant anything until we actually closed , the rhizomes rotted in the box , I was so disappointed and heartbroken. We are now located in a "residential farm" zoning so I cant wait to start a garden again. Grow some hops ,have chickens and basically do what I want .

Just bought a grain mill, should be here Tuesday . Also have to find ,unpack and shake out all my brewing equipment and get myself to building a mobile brew cart rig. Lucky thing the house came with a couple outbuildings ,one of which had a small kitchenette in the back of the detached garage ,with a small apartment sized electric stove. Last weeks extreme freezing temps busted a main water pipe to that garage but I moved the stove to the basement where my brewing will take place . Stove works great . I just need to put a new outlet for it . I do have a water source in the basement as well.
First "Bamabrew" planned is an Oatmeal Stout.
