Have used BrewHardware for parts and pieces of equipment for some time now, and since my LHBS closed two years ago, I have to order grain online now have been using BrewHardware pretty much exclusively for grain for the last 6 months or so, unless it's something they don't have in stock. Sorry Bobby for ordering that pound of Briess CaraPils Copper elsewhere! ;)

I like having a vendor like @Bobby_M as a fellow HBT member and who actually posts on threads because you never know what might show up in one of his pictures. Like this week, he had a pic showing a rotameter style flow meter - something I've often wanted to use on brew days, but couldn't seem to nail down a model that for sure would be compatible with brewing (temperature wise, mostly).

Seeing one in his picture I immediately went to his store, found it, and ordered one (along with an m & f pair of camlock fittings so I can quickly pop the thing on and off a pump output as desired). Expect to have it show up early next week as he's only a couple hundred miles away :)

Cheers!

I've switched to ordering basically all of my ingredients from Brewhardware now.

I place an order on a Sunday night, it ships out Monday, and arrives to my place in Massachusetts on Tuesday. Prices are reasonable, grains are well packed and oxygen barrier bags, liquid yeast arrives still cold even in summer.

Can't beat that!

Hey Bobby, just want to point out for others that "brewhardware.com" and "brewershardware.com" are two different sites, the first one being Bobby's page. I could see that being easily confused.

I posted somewhere else on the forum about buying a cnc mill and picking up some custom brew hardware projects to keep it busy and help others out while I get my other projects off the ground. Id love to kick around some ideas and I'm right across the river from you.

Bobby's BrewHardware is a true diamond in the rough.

I recently built a jockey box and sourced the majority of the hardware from Bobby.
One of the main reasons is that he is passionate about his business, offers quality products as well as unique items not available elsewhere for a very fair price.
Bobby is also very responsive to emails.

For example the 3-way CO2 manifold that I purchased, it came equipped with check valves and the end cap is threaded to allow removal for daisy chaining without replacing the entire plug fitting that others are equipped with. This may come in handy when our beer club is serving at an event and we need to connect CO2 to a second jockey box.

My son owns his own Plumbing business (small 1 person outfit) who tells me how much the digital marketing firms demand for including your business in search engines as well as other marketing costs. Due to his price for performance business approach he is proud that his marketing budget is zero.

I get the same vibe about BrewHardware, no marketing B.S., no "bonus/rewards points", just quality products/service at a very reasonable price.

My wife and I did some upgrades to our house over the last few years and we ended up hiring small independent contractors who owned their own business. Not only were their prices competitive than the larger comercial firms but they provided "extras" that we werent expecting and they took pride in their work which showed in the end result.

I am greatful that business like Bobby's BrewHardware exist in the homebrew industry and hope that his business thrives as I prefer to spend my money where pride is valued over greed.

Pics of my jockey box below (don't chastise the bulk heads on the back, I wanted a secure means of disconnecting the beer lines for transport) BTW the jockey box weighs in at 82.5#.

So I haven’t been to an actual homebrew shop in several years. All the ones near me closed down. I’ve been ordering from More Beer,
Northern Brewer and some others. Today I went about an 90 minutes out of my way to stop in to Bobby M’s shop. The first guy I talked to ( didn’t catch his name) gave some really great tips about lagers and what malts he prefers. I found out later he’s a medal winning brewer that specializes in lagers and is locally well known. Well then Bobby came out and helped me locate some items I couldn’t find on my own, and he very graciously provided all sorts of insights (knowledge) into brewing like PH, PH meters, Thiols, hops, yeasts, beer competition judging, concepts of flavor and aroma and other stuff I can’t remember right now. My 2 cents: When you visit your local homebrew store, instead of buying online, you MAY have the opportunity to learn all kinds of great stuff. I’ve been brewing & making wine and cider for 20+ years and the experience at Bobby’s store was simply the best. I’ll admit, I’m a cheapskate much of the time, and Bobby’s prices were great, and the information I received was priceless. :mug:

Bobby is my “local” even though he’s 35-40 minutes away. I pop in at least once a month and end up talking to him almost every time. In fact, I’ll be there again next week to grab my next round of ingredients and some small parts.

His customer service rivals any retail business, not just home brew. If I was to move away, I’d mail order from him. There’s another store nearby (maybe even slightly closer). While I won’t speak negatively of them because they are great, for me, the choice is still clear.
I agree with this, though sadly Bobby is closer to 2h away, sometimes I’m near Trenton so it’s “only” an extra hour to get to him.

Placed my first order last week and very happy with the quick shipping and response when I called. I was trying to connect some duo tight connectors and tubing to a Blichman spunding valve to purge my kegs during fermenting and they helped me find correct sizes and even added some parts at no charge since I called after placing the order. I usually go to my local homebrew shop for grains and yeast but just ordered a few all grain kits from BrewHardware to try out.

When NB closed their St. Paul and Midwest supplies store i switched to morebeer and a few others.
Now that I know about you it looks like I will be adding you to my top 4 list.
My father was a farmer and instilled supporting the cooperative or small business

Bobby, didn't know the best place to drop you a line so I figured why not here? I'm in the market for a brewbuilt x3 25gal fermenter, they seem to be backordered everywhere. I checked your site I saw the 2 smaller sizes listed and didn't know if you would get into the larger size at all. I'm in central PA so I'd have to have it shipped. I see brewbuilt website also shows backorder so I might be waiting a bit.

Hey Bailey, you are best off simply e-mailing [email protected]. Bobby will get back to you very quickly this way. You can also call the shop at (908) 823-4227 Monday-Thursday 9am to 6:30pm eastern and Friday 9am to 3pm.

I only have a few 7 and 14 gallon X3s on hand. The 25 is an awkward size for most so I didn't want to get stuck with them.
