What happened?

Wellp. About two years and three months ago I had to get it towed to my brothers shop and the automatic transmission **** the bed and took the engine with it when the tranny coolant lines burst and mixed coolant with oil... engine is lifetime warrantied that was it's third.. but transmission was not.

So I bought a new black box transmission from GM and had my brother put it in with the new radiator and engine.

Two years and three months later the car ceased to engage in drive when I was driving it home to get it looked at... and now it's officially unsalvageable unless I do a manual conversion (PITA) as GM only authorized a 3500$ lease/new car purchase credit and wouldn't authorize a replacement warranty transmission 3 months out of warranty.

Wholly crap. Is that a Saturn thing or a lemon?

It's actually a whole GM thing across all of their lines. All 2.2L power trains for the years of like mid'03-mid'05 had these ****ty nonrebuildable CVT transmissions which in fact has been the worst transmission that GM has produced in the past 30 years most likely. A novel f*ck up on their part. Now they are only available black box with a crappy warranty from the dealerships.

Haven't seen that quad here in Austin yet. See that BT..try next time. This coconut stout may be gone before it gets carbed.

The Boulevard Bourbon ? Mmm I'm cracking it right now actually and the BT was amazing! Huge molasses sweetness backed by raisins and a ton of assorted pitfruit.. easiest drinking BSD I've had

I think the last time I had a martini was my 21st birthday 😱

Drinking a @m00ps saison.

I've never been a big fan. My wife loves them (vodka, dirty & lots of olives), however, the last couple months I've started to get a taste for them. Crave them on random nights, but still mostly an "I'm out of scotch or bourbon or good beer, so martini's sound alright" kind of thing.

The dirtier the better and there best be a handful of olives... your wife has good taste!! .. I got into them as I watched a lot of James Bond. When Mad Men was my show I dug the crap outta Old Fashioneds it's a nice drink to add to the mix.

This. Is. Good. Nice follow up to the Petite Raspberry

She made me one earlier at my request - no doubt 'cause of all this talk about one. 4 olives. I told her not to be shy on the olive brine. Tasty. I think I've decided I'll just soak some olives in vodka and a little vermouth, and snack on them whenever I'm craving a martini. ;)

Hmmmmm sort of like soaking some cherries in Bourbon and Oak... I like that idea. A lot. Only 4 olives aw shucks 😉

I'm super disappointed in this beer. It's practically flat.. like how can you not carbonate a beer in a brite tank properly and bottle from that. Can't even rouse bubbles through swirling no matter how intense.
