Guess I need to revisit this because i don't remember the sound effects.

It's a large part of what set the show apart from others, including Zane's first show of the same ilk.

Every time he (or anyone) drinks, you hear the *gulp* sound, pouring anything out of the bottle and you get the "water pouring" sound, *sniffsniffsniff* like a dog when he is smelling anything, overly-exuberant "CLANG" when there's a toast, and lots of others. Even Pleepleus gets his monkey noises when they show him!

:D

I keep seeing references to some incident earlier in the day. I'm not sure I want to know what it was. Seems there are issues on other threads that spill over here? Dunno. I guess I'm good with having only a couple non-technical threads I bother with and skipping all that. This thread has all the banter I need.

We did a crossover episode with the TR.

Seriously. Busch Light after a workout. Best.

The spill over started coming out of here, not into here. PKU.

I envision something like this. Slym before the rumble with the Sharks I mean Tap Room.

How close am I?
The depiction of slymy as a clumsy Peter Griffin is close, but the rest is way off.

This.

And, nothing beats the spillover when that other website tried to spillover. ;)

On topic: Flo IPA from Trinity Brewing to end my spring break. Long drive in the wind tomorrow will suck. So I might as well finish this growler...

It brightened up my afternoon and I got a few good needed chuckles for a monday.

Sierra Nevada Coffee stout. Better than last year and definitely would buy it agian if the first choice is sold out.

Water as a night cap. Wife is watching some terrible show about ghosts and their children. Ugh. Once she passes out the tv is going off.

Either way, this is the friendly thread. Let's not let the 2 threads merge into mass stupidity. Most of the friendlies don't hang out it the TR, with a few exceptions.

Didn't have to get up early today. SWMBO HS a meeting and couldn't find her coat...panicked...it was on the back if the floccin' coat rack. Quaffey. *#@$%

Morning all... full throttling. Learned some new close quarters techniques last night, which was awesome but wish I had known about them before the tournament. That's my weakest area.

Going to get some bottles cleaned out and bottle up what's left of the smoked porter off the keg... I decided that I'm going to let that DIPA sit another few weeks. Think I need some more kegs.

Do they involve shots to the groin region?

Do they involve shots to the groin region?

No, but there are two cheap shots.

Both are from when you're 'tied up' (fists touching)... the first is to come up and over their hands and punch their right hand as hard/fast as you can (while holding your sword). They go off balance and sets up a nice head strike.

The other is similar, but as you're coming out of the clinch, you put your sword in the crook of their neck and push down/over. Again, if they aren't expecting it, they go way off balance.

Is there a protocol for retreating to a safe distance and calling in an air-strike?

Seems like that would make the sport far more civilized.

Yeah, just kind of like dirty boxing.

Ideally, you're not going to score your points that way, but they are good techniques to try and catch your opponent off guard with.

It's roots are Japanese, and I don't want to take part in that kind of air strike.
