I'll PKU when you lot get jobs and stop leaving me 100 pages to go through when I get home :mug:
Sounds like you need to become management. ;)
Is there a protocol for retreating to a safe distance and calling in an air-strike?

Seems like that would make the sport far more civilized.

That's after the swift kitten kick. It's like a falcon punch, but entirely different.

This three sheets show is a bad influence on me, @ijiikajikijii. I never realized how many different boozohols there are that I'ven't even tried yet.

My bucket list is getting longer and longer, and so far it's mostly beverage-based.

Mines basically a big snifter instead of the bucket. Oh and beverages will most likely be the cause too. But according to slym, I should have another decade or so until $h!t starts to go down

Good morning all

That'll be nice, what was OG/IBU?

Not keeping... never mind.

1.065 and ~72 IBUs (probably not quite as high as that owing to my hops being 2014 so should be to style). The sample of the wort sure did have a great bitter hit to it.

Added a little Carafa for some color in an effort to emulate your pretty "Ugly IPA" while keeping in the style. I think I achieved that.

Do you guys tend to avoid drinking when feeling a bit sick?

I just add some Emergen-C into my IPA. Boom, nasty super fizzy lemon lime sculpin.

You guys got that stuff in Norway? 5,000% of your B and C dailt vitamin requirements. Mmm....

Cool. I thought it looked a little dark in the fermenter. That's going to look really nice, I'm sure.

I popped the top on my bucket last night to check temp, seems my keeping the swamp cooler water @ ~57° is keeping my beer in the 62° range during the active ferment. Not bad, looks like I'll stick with the buckets.

That's great that it's working so well. Gives you a lot more options.

...so is it safe to come out now? After yesterdays madness I mean?

Come out whenever you feel comfortable... it's an important time in your life, so don't rush it if you aren't completely 'there' yet.

I wouldn't say that so much... I just know that I can hold temps in that super clean range for Notty. Something I was able to do with the glass before without much effort.

It's not like I'd try to lager in it, lol.

I thought @m00ps came out weeks ago to the AFPFFWD crowd.

You could hybrid in it though maybe. Tibers Kolsch is a great recipe for a tasty beer.

I know... I've been thinking about it a little bit ever since I took that temp reading. Did you send me one of those? I think you did. Crap.

I think my wife would really like a kolsch... I'm always brewing a cream ale here and there so she has some on hand (haven't had to the past 8 months, lol). Might be time to try it out.
