Slow night considering it's a Friday. Still working on that lager and about to do dishes before bed.

Thanks one of you Philly guys! Can't remember if it was @beermeduffman or @mcbaumannerb This is good. View attachment 345390

Wife: Hey, (random friend) wants to come see Kennedy because of her surgery this morning.

Me: No, I don't think it's a good idea.

Wife: Well, I don't want to be rude.

Me: ....

Wife: They're coming over in an hour and a half. I really wish the yard was mowed, so it'd look better when they get here.

I'll give you one guess how that scenario played out. And now, it's also somehow my fault she can't deal with stress without yelling and getting mad. Fantastic. At least I have beer.

Does your wife have a sister? I think I married her.

Join the cause brother.

Do lager yeast produce esters?

They do if you let them. The trick is to encourage them not to.

Finished doing all the stuff I do in the evening and prepped for tomorrows early brew.

A big beer is planned (big my my standards)

Murican IPA with a pound of hops. Should be fun.

Finishing a stupid simple cider and going to have a Pils next.

Tonights dinner was incredibly delicious.

Roast pork, chicken, tripe, tofu and veg were all in the mix. Hong-Kongese style.

@iijakii scolded me for my last IPA effort, inadequate hops and sulphate. Corrected this time. Different water profile and mar hops

Centennial, Cascade and Citra. Very unexperimental.

TL,DR Brewing am. Beer now. Oregon is full of dicks and dags

Also figured out how to do this with my stupid phone

How? That could be helpful.

How? That could be helpful.

Just positioned the lens over the eyepiece and positioned the refractometer near a bright light (vent hood lights are really bright on my stove). Trial and error till the image was clear and snap.

Not sure what use it will be but I like taking brewing/nerdy pics so one more thing to play with.

My night is looking up. Got home from work an hour ago. Decided to share my liquor store haul of scotch and bourbon with a roommate. He handed me some mail that came for me today containing a job offer from a place I interviewed with a week or so ago. We have been celebrating with this and four roses single barrel.
