Sold my wife's car this morning finally. Cash money. Trying to get out of going to my niece's play tonight without making it seem like I'm trying to get out of going to my niece's play. Getting an oil change now.

Give me your number, Ill call with an emergency 30misn before you have to leave for play. The emergency of course will be buying me beer.

Didn't mean to pressure you into it. Actually, yes I did. :D

Nice choice for a nightcap.

The pressure was unnecessary. :)

My night is looking up. Got home from work an hour ago. Decided to share my liquor store haul of scotch and bourbon with a roommate. He handed me some mail that came for me today containing a job offer from a place I interviewed with a week or so ago. We have been celebrating with this and four roses single barrel.

Congrats that it came through. Assuming it was what you told me about, it sounded awesome.

Coffee. Easter Egg hunt with the boy the morning, serving lunch at a funeral for a high school senior this afternoon.

I'd rather be brewing.

Urf, rough.

On the road to Austin and Jester King! Eta 1230ish.

@1977brewer

Good news: Some brown porter and helles are bottled up for you.

Bad news: only one DEM Brown Doe made it. I havent drank from the keg all week, saving it for you. Go to fill bottles and only one partial makes it. Lol. So Ill send some ****ty DEM backwash dregs to you.

Need to go clean two kegs and then keg my weird brown lager that's hopefully good. Lazy though. Sigh. Maybe a work beer will motivate me.

Man I wish I was brewing today. Stuck at work, looking like a full day and they might even want me to stay late. Thankfully it's all OT.

Coffee, beer in the distant future 🤔

Mroing friendly friends. Good looking brew, Gav. What was the bill? I'm about to make nanner and egg pancakes. Will keg and bottle some beers. Also brewing today, still not sure what exactly.

Mroing Jakii

I'm assuming you're talking about hops but here's both.

Alright, doing a pilsner. Gonna be all fancy and step mash like Gavin.

If I had an eBIAB I'd be step mashing my flocking porridge.Get the finger out!

Morning all and happy Saturday! Received a couple of inches of snow last night :(

Gavin that's a great pic! Sometimes your brew pictures look almost staged but me thinks you're really that organized and tidy aren't you?
Anyways, thanks man for sharing!

I have had to develop a system that leaves the kitchen tidier than when I started in order to keep the peace. SWMBO likes her tidy kitchen, as do I. I reckon I'd be awful to brew with. I sort of approach brewing like a lab experiment. Fun for me but probably not everyone's cup of tea.

Love it. My little helper is circling the drain after gymnastics. Had to crush grains by myself.

OG 1.052!!! Do you even Big Beer bro?;)

(I'm all about hops and IPA's now donchano)

I was talking to the wifey about gymnastics for our kiddo(s). They climb on every flocking thing. I think it would be just the ticket. Probably a good stepping stone to cardboard-ninja skills too I'd surmise.

Yeah this is for my diaper keg coming up. I'll have the rye pale and this blonde for the dudes that aren't by into craft.

Yeah, gymnastics first, then I'll get her into Taekwondo until she's 13 or so, then Kumdo. That's the plan anyway... She'll probably end up doing dance or something though.

A man can dream.

You'll get it. My first attempts were messy too. I put an ice cream bucket under the bottles, but rarely overflow them now.

Mine wasnt the overflow, it was the light stream/drips coming out of the wand when I was changing bottles. I should have used a bucket...

Diaper Keg. LOL

Something to chug when your up to your eyeballs in sleepless nights and squishy yellow nappie goodness.

I am still yet to use any rye. I wonder would it pair well with Chinook in an IPA?

ETA: Multiquote tool fail

Yeah I use a little two gallon bucket. Fits like 7 or 8 bottles real snug I think. It's been like 20 years since I home brewed, seems like.

Those toes be nasty.

That's my biggest fear when opening the bucket after several weeks. But hey, if it tastes good who cares right?

What sort of Pilsner are you making?Playing with water profiles at all?

German. Probably do something very similar to yours. Ive thusfar kept pretty minimal water profile on Pils due to AJ's suggestions, but going to try that yellow bitter profile out.

I has a pellicle on my hobbit toes. Luckily I am unafraid. Tastes good, and it only dropped .002 in the two weeks since I've touched it. It's certainly crisp, but not sour. Think I should bottle it up today?

It's certainly not going to be iijakii's cuppa, but it's going to be good any way.

I know zero about sours. It seems good unintentional ones are like hens teeth (unless your H.W.).

Who knows what it will become.

That would be a dumber every day in my mind but what the flock do I know.

ETA: Beautiful pictures of the pellicle BTW
