Because I was also born in 77.

Old too! ;)

I got major respecks for you. Just that. I meen. Come one.

7

7

77

Doesn't get too much better than that. Like I wouldn't be surprised if any televangelist family members or friends of a friend didn't start worshiping him as the second coming!

What?! Seriously? How are you not 77brewer? What a travesty!

Also, how nice that no matter where you are in the world, you won't ever be confused about which number goes where on important documents asking for DOB.

Because some other dummy had it locked up. I've only met two other people born on 7/7 but never on the same year

You are correct on the 23. The reason you haven't met them is because it's not that someone else in the room will have your birthday, just that any 2 people in that room have the same birthday is slightly higher than 50%.

Because: MATHS, which I guess could be a subset of SCIENCE (or is it the other way around?)

If you really want to know why: http://betterexplained.com/articles/understanding-the-birthday-paradox/

Yes, I'm stuck in the office for another hour waiting for something to complete and I'll be damned if I actually do anything productive.

Thanks for the math science. I like that stuff.

I know I just wanted an excuse to call you dummy. Don't mind me I'm just acting out because I don't have 200lbs of beer on my door step

I understand completely. At least you're not shipping me spite packages like some other SoTex folks. A bag of penis candy and a GothJockey mousepad so far.

He's promised me beers when he gets back from his honeymoon. Whatevs.

In fact, we ended up having to pay a bunch of money to have our wedding papers re-documented, then an official copy expedited to where we were staying in Norway so we could apply for a visa in time because our officiant was British, and we got legally married in the US.

Hold judgement till after you've tried my hb, you might think I sent you a spite package and wish it was a bag full of candy dicks instead

Pregaming for a wedding. Bar status unconfirmed, may require emergency air support.

Over.

Krrrrsch

*krcrssch* Overwatch to PFC drainbamage, come in, over. *krrssch*

*krssch* New intel suggests a flask in the loadout for this mission, do you copy? High risk of failure at next waypoint. Mission critical, Foxtrot, Lima, Alpha, Sierra, Kilo necessary for success. Do you copy? Over. *krrscch*

Here's a question because I forgot how to maths- is your 23 magic number including those individuals born on leap day? I've known two.

Not quite - drops it to 49.95% if you go all 'leap year' with only 23 people

Items:
366
People:
23
Run Trial reset
Number of pairs 253 = (23 * 22)/2
Chance of a unique pair 99.7268% = 365/366
Chance of 253 unique pairs 50.05% = (99.7268%)^253
Chance of some match 49.95% = 1 - 50.05%

Yes, but that's not including that leap year happens only once every 4 years, but rather assuming 366 days every year, or is it?
