An hb ESB - one for me, one for the wife. And the stash of three of the best craft breweries here, and then the best of the local brewery (but all their other beers are slightly below average, and to be honest, I've not tried many BWs to compare this one to) that we will be taking to a dinner party tomorrow evening.

Favorite is Ægir, second favorite is now 7 Fjell, and Kinn is the beer we buy for celebrations of big events/achievements because they sell 750ml bottles.

Close-up of the ESB made with - gasp! - fuggles. Starting to clear up rather nicely. Though I'm wondering if I accidentally got some tannins from the batch sparge. There's a weird flavor that isn't horrible, isn't hops bitterness, but just kinda lingers after a drink. Started messing with the water the brew after this, but after reading an experiment about adding the minerals to the keg, I tried it, and really does seem like it improved it, although I have no side-by-side from which to judge. Still probably try to bottle it from the keg and send it in to norways homebrewing national competition.

Was my answer of 42 incorrect?

Yes. But I may have phrased my QOTD wrong.

I thought you were giving the HGTTG answer.

Here it is again.

In a room of people how many folks need to be in the room before the chances of two people sharing a birthday exceeds 50%

Me with my many birthdays; I am not in the room.
No twins are allowed (sorry @beermeDuffman ).

I had this one once, and the only thing I remember was that it was 23. For some reason it stuck with me, because I often think of that when I'm in a room with about that many people, yet I've only ever met 2 other people who share my birthday. I don't remember why it was 23 though.

Yeah, that's a story you end up telling in front of a small crowd of people who only know each others' first names.

I reckon you're more likely to end up in front of EBA (expanded bladders anonymous) given the intense crush ability of a DEM.

Either that or the worlds most patient and committed of drunks. Also if there are 23 of them there is a better than 50% you share a birthday. Today's/yesterday's nerd prize stout is winging its way to Norway.

Norvège, Douze points

Does it count if there's no way in hell I could've proven why?
