What did you wind up doing when the conference was here in Philly, if you came?

I didn't make the one in Philly. For the NHCs I have made, I usually do a combination of homebrews and commercial brews for sharing, but there's usually plenty of other beer around. San Diego was really weird in that you weren't supposed to have homebrew and commercial brew served in the same place, so you were only supposed to have commercial beer at the banquet. I think there was a fair amount of law breaking that night.

BTW, how was the show overall? Didn't sound like you enjoyed the opener

Maiden was great. Bruce was in great form considering the cancer scare. The opening act wouldn't have been opening if their lead guitarist wasn't the son of Steve Harris (the bass player from Maiden). They played about half the new album with some classics.
