Oh I don't drink while I work. I reward myself handsomely afterward. A session beer or three, tops, while the job is underway. Power tools + beer + Clint = ER visit.

Learned from a co worker years ago beer and car repair is also a bad idea after asking why he rode his road bicycle in. He though he finished changing the water pump in his car until the next morning. He found random parts in the garage and 2 bottles of coolant, opened the hood to find he stopped after taking it all apart.

mother of god.
No. I would of just deleted that account a long time ago

I would, but it's my work email. :D

90% of those deleted items get there via rules that say "if it comes from person Y or contains X in the subject line, move to deleted".

edit: that is 3 months of email - my company believes an email sent is a job completed...

Jesus, when I got back to work in late april after +3months of being absent I only had a bit over 300 emails. But then again, our company has a pretty strict spam filter

I keep outlook folders based on weeks and months. Each week comprises about 1000 emails in and 1000 emails out, per week. I always keep 1 year on record. My actual inbox never has more then 20 emails and most of the time only 10 of those are current. Any more then 30 emails in my inbox and I get antsy.

FedEx question for the group.

If you are shipping to a residential address, do you have to check the residential address box and pay the surcharge? I've always done that, but wonder if it is necessary.

The answer is 'it depends'. It's somewhat regional. Some places, FedEx Ground doesn't deliver so it gets rerouted through FedEx Home anyway and they'll tack on the surcharge to your account. Other places, Ground doesn't care and will deliver it. Most of the time, the website is smart enough to tell you when it suspects the delivery is going to be residential.

Hey ive got a decision between New Orleans LA, Houston TX, and Atlanta GA, maybe Seattle WA, for company training, each are different courses but relevant t my line of work so I really only care about the beer scene. Where should I pick?

For beer scene, I would probably go with Seattle. No idea about Atlanta. New Orleans has a small beer scene (there are really only three must visits) although it's relatively simple to get to. Houston has more options, but they're more sprawled out.

Well, we'll see what happens. I already had the label printed, so I went with it. Sorry if it takes a few extra days Clint!

For those using the mobile app, is it working really slow today? It wouldn't refresh after I read a few pages. I'm in safari now and the site is working like normal. Stupid new phone.

Can't help you. Our network is running at dial-up speeds again today. Nothing is good.

Fine fine, next time I have wifi I'll download chrome. At least the app is suddenly refreshing again.

Man, I'll trade you ridiculous amounts of produce/herbs/vegetables/hops to go on a fishing trip. I'm in desperate need of some de-stressing.

Dude, fishing trips are always day trips. Plenty of places to go now, or wait til after the 1st and head out for inland trout out towards your parents house. If the weather holds out a bit, some of these streams should be cleared up in a few days

I've used Safari since I got my iphone. No problems with the browser. No problems with the phone. Only problem is people that don't have iphones, telling me iphones suck.

I've never explored stream fishing. Other than our pond and small local lakes, only place I've really gone has been Malartic, Quebec for Northerns.

Apple has its pluses and minuses, same with Android devices. Personally, I enjoy my Samsung 6s more then the Iphone 4 I had. I find myself missing a better camera and store, but really am into the larger screen, the customization options and the overall interface of an android device.
Again, just my opinion. I also don't enjoy people who are so gung-ho over a mobile device that they try to recruit you with subliminal messages and fear tactics. Like, dude, its a phone?

Nothing else, but this. There's a handful of people in the office that stick their nose up every time they see or hear I have an iphone. Leave me the hell alone. Wtf are you doing on your phone that is so important? I can call my grandmother, text my wife and google random **** when I'm drunk. Beat it nerd.

Then again, you can't talk with anyone now unless you're prepared for them to rape your earholes with their opinion. The same people **** on me when I bought a Nissan Rogue. "Nissan is garbage". Yeah? It's the first vehicle I've had that is less than 20 years old and will start without having to go under the hood first.

These people also have zero debt, parents paid for college and first vehicles.
Getting cutty...

Ooo here goes a good one...
when you travel, do you take beer with you or leave it to chance to try something local that you wouldn't try normally?

Depends on where I'm going and what purpose is the trip.

For example, for Vegas this weekend, we didn't take anything since we knew there were decent options all around, and the purpose of the trip was music.

For a beer-related trip (like Huna Day in a couple weeks), we'll probably take a few things along for beer share purposes.

Otherwise, if we know the place is sketchy as far as options, we'll bring some stuff along (like a beach weekend). Or if we know there are going to be some local options, we'll just get stuff there.
