Louisiana got some good food though, and pretty scenery.

I spent 4 years in OK. I'd be just fine never setting foot in that state again.

I'd love to visit New Orleans. I've heard the rest of the state is hell.

I drove through OK on Greyhound once, spent 8 hours stuck in Tulsa. That was enough to say I'm also fine never setting foot in that state again.

Hey ive got a decision between New Orleans LA, Houston TX, and Atlanta GA, maybe Seattle WA, for company training, each are different courses but relevant t my line of work so I really only care about the beer scene. Where should I pick?

Seattle would be my first pick.

Same. Finished another pint, did no studying. Bed time. Back to the books tomorrow.

Well I can't sleep. Drinking an apex predator but you floccs don't deserve a pic. Looks I'm in king of the thread for now.

Still feel Like someone else aside from the thread starter should've won. I mean I'll still send my stuff to 77, but the first person that pms me their address will get at least a 6pack so I can make the trip to fedex worth my time . Wake up friendly floccers

You and me both apparently, not sure what woke me up but here I sit. Today is going to be a long day.

Coffee. Morning friendly friends. Gettin ready for a run- brought my Vienna lager upstairs last night for a diacetyl rest, it was at 1.018 and I am expecting it to drop too 1.012-13. Tasted really good but you can tell its at 1.018. I didn't detect any diacetyl

Seattle it the obvious choice being in the Pacific Northwest. Atlanta might be the sleeper pick though- lots of breweries; buuuuuuut you are still in the dirty south

The first few months I lived here I saw a group of Mexicans try to jump a hulked out white dude at a gas station right around there. White dude started to throw down and the Mexicans jumped in their car and took off. White dude jumped in his Tahoe and took off after them rear-ending them as they went down the road. I grabbed what I was getting quick and got the hell outta there. It was an eye opening experience for me for sure. I don't go to central or west Phoenix anymore unless I have my pistol. Concealed carry ftw!!

Woke up in Mexico once after a night of hard partying in CA. The guy who thought it would be funny to put three seriously drunk people in his car and drive down also thought it was a good idea to offload us at a scumbag motel and hit a bar solo. He was making eye balls at this chic that the locals were enamored with, so they wound up taking him from the bar out back, beat him down and removed four of his teeth with pliers.

Tough choice man. Personally I'd pick Seatlle, but that's just my opinion

Is this still a thing? Lol

Make it a BIF to someone deserving, that thread could use some new life

Thats actually exactly what i brewed back in nov 2014 thanks to BGBC. He contacted the brewers and got the recipe. Thanks for sharing to confirm though!

I was going to say, old news!

The high today is going to be close to 65. They are also calling for possible snow on Friday.
Sharp

"Possible accumulation in parts of the area" is how they're phrasing it here. Last time they said that, we got 5 or 6 inches out of the blue.

At least my day today isn't murder and at least I should be home at a reasonable hour.

Is it just me or does the one in the back look like a flower vase.

I like to look of the old Sundae cups. Clad I was able to find a set before they go extinct.

It does look like a vase in that picture, but it actually has a little stem on it. It's really unique. I almost wonder if it is just another sundae glass or if it is like.. some fancy Sunday morning champagne or I don't know.

Good deal! Just don't BUCKNUTS those!

The only glass I ever broke was one I tossed like a hand grenade off my second floor balcony on my 21st birthday. Wife breaks everything she touches, so I always clean the stuff that is of value to me.

The pic you had was a tulip stemmed glass. Good for Belgian styles and can also be good for darker beers and lower carbonation varieties. Ipa from tulips not so much

Tulip, okay got ya. I just meant that when I looked up stout glass, the pictures that came up look exactly like the IPA ones. No big deal, the only reason I'm interested is because this glassware has been in the family much longer than I have been.

Thanks guys. Morning. Coffee.

thanks to @thatjonguy, I'll be forever spoiled with stouts. This glass does make a difference with stouts, it really helps bring barrel notes to the forefront, and its Purdy, too
The IPA counterpart is in the same boat. Its great. It also holds a bunch more then a typical nonic or shaker. A tulip holds a good deal, but I love my Spiegelau glasses.

Morning friendlies. Operating on negative sleep today. Thankfully I had enough coffee beans left for a single cup. Going to have to roast some today if time permits or tomorrow is really going to suck. My wallet is killing me today as I have both the gas company here hooking up service to my house and the heating/AC guys here installing the lines and venting to replace my heat and water heater. I know it will pay itself off in the long run as my current system is 20 some years old and loud as crap, but this is not going to be a cheap or fun check to write out.

lol aye, the last storm was 'no big deal' until like two days before 2' of snow piled up. I wouldn't say it was total panic, but getting anything done on our normal food shopping day was near impossible.

Morning friendlies. Without the imminent possibility of free beer, my life feels empty. :(

Question/debate topic of the day?

Ooo here goes a good one...
when you travel, do you take beer with you or leave it to chance to try something local that you wouldn't try normally?

Drinking some chai tea to start. Then coffee.

Plus I had a swig of Robitussin extra strength...
