Sounds like a great day. A brewery tour is something I'm embarrassed to admit I've never been on. (Aside from Guinness store house which doesn't count). I'd flipping love to go on one.

I'm very happy with it, big step up from doing outside with a popstir, makes it so easy to keep up with my coffee consumption.
For the money it's hard to beat if you get into coffee.

The Blue Bonnet Brew off is coming up and I'll be there Friday and Saturday (that's the plan at least). I think it's Friday week or the Friday after that. The kids will be with Swmbo both evenings. Gotta pick your battles. This one is a non-starter.

Thanks all the same though. If you're over this way (I'm in Irving) let me know. Door's open if you're keen for a beer and/or shooting the ch1t.

Every time I go on one its hit or miss. The tour guide always picks up on my very specific & incessant questions (mentally verifying my highly superior efficiency and inline mashing capabilities of course) and knows I brew a lot. How much fun I have on the tour entirely depends on whether or not the guy/gal actually knows their stuff.

The best "tours" ive had have just been from chatting up a brewer in the taproom and they just take me back there one on one

Ive never been on an actual tour I enjoyed that much, but anytime just the brewer takes me back at a brewpub and has me sample stuff it's fun. Guides are boring except for the first time you go and see all of the SS conical bling. Once you witness that it's just listening to some tard drone on.
