Is that anything like Heart Attack Pie?

Kinda. Crumbled bacon inside rolled sausage inside the bacon weave, smoked and slathered in BBQ sauce.

That's some fancy bacon-tapestry work. Nice

How is the peated ale? Looks great. I think I'd like to do a 1 gallon experimental heated ale. Seems to be a love it or hate sort of malt. I know @WesleyS has mentioned a couple of times that he's none too fond of it.

I like it, but the peated malt is a little more phenolic. I might supplement it with some standard rauchmalz next time. It's not really directly to style anyway.

Moved wife's grandma. Had a flat, I have road hazard but the dealership is closed so in on a donut til Monday. Have to go have a talk with a church brother who's in some flat out terrible legal trouble. Will drink some crap beers tonight after this crap week.

Carb/lagering sample of my German Pilsner (3 weeks since brewday)

Another week or so and it should be ready for mass consumption. Still needs to brighten a touch but is tasting very crisp already. Quite a bit different from my first Pils I think. (Different yeast and hops).

#properglassware

;)

Not my birthday. Maybe it's the original Gavin's (the one without the C who gets tagged). Thanks all the same mate.

The BBQ was something special. I really enjoyed it. 3 pours, each more delicious than the last. I'm rubbish at describing beers. The label mentioned cherries, bugger me if I could pick them out though.

Washed it down with a BA legion (love that beer) and and Alt to really hammer home the ropey head for this morning's fun and games. Well worth it. Fantastic beer. I'll be getting more of that so long as Costco keep stocking it. (~$11)

Also to add. My pH meter is sick. Needs a new probe I think. Not unexpected given its age. they have limited life-spans apparently. Congrats on your new one.

Well happy brewday at least! I'm pretty excited to use my new meter. It didnt come with a manual so i need to look one up just to check all the features before i use it. Thanks for the recommendation!

Well, not much done in the way of chores, but I did walk the pup twice to burn off the :taco: and ran a bunch of errands and got a couple pairs of pants for work. Time to relax with a tasty beer now!

I'm disappointed you slackers did get more posts up. Ruining my plan of swooping in for the win. Guess I'll have to work for it now.

Drinking this homer. It's good, but a cream stout with a buffalo on the can? Pushing it, guys.

Hope you fortunes turn around man...especially with vehicles.

Lol so your Gavin 2.0, interesting. I saw some user with like 100 posts called m00rs I think and flipped a sh!t. Never heard a response

If that Gavin ever comes back around he's gonna be confused as @Keg from all the times I put up a recipe with keg hops

Also, anybody here watched soaked in bleach on Netflix? Its the documentary on kurt cobains "suicide". Watch it if you haven't, good stuff!

Just watching live Nirvana the other night. He could really sing

Question of the day: do you think Dave grohl and foo fighters would be a band today if nirvana was still around? I was a teen during the 90s and loved nirvana but I think foo fighters blows nirvana away.

Probably. Grohl would have found a reason to get out from under the Cobain Novoselic umbrella at some point.

Really, look at Grohl now - he's a rock star and he was meant to be one.

yes i do think but i disagree on pt. 2. Grohl is more talented no doubt but kurts music seems more poignant
