Bluebird after 5 mile run. I pushed my first mile down to 8:30 (before cutting the pace back for the rest). That's literally 15 seconds slower than my all-time best (when I was still in good shape). I felt like I was going to die.

Here's to the Caps making the comeback, and the Lilywhites slaughtering the Viola tomorrow.

Those Canadians were having none of it.

We drove with them from Adelaide to Alice Springs and surrounds. The plan was to give them a ride all the way to Darwin but turned out they were really really annoying. We dumped them off in Alice.

Met many a Canadian on my travels. Mostly great people, solid blokes, fun lasses. These were an exception.

This was my fine steed. They never wanted to pay for gas or camping ch1t.

Dude, your my hero. High school, college (tech school..3 girls in entire class), job in 3 weeks after graduating, married in 1 year, kids in 2...not recommended.

Stick me in the Rockies or the Alps, or the Appalachians for that matter, and I'm game. I might try and do the Appalachian Trail one of these days.

But not in that hellhole down under. One of the deadliest spiders on Earth happens to like the weather in Sydney in particular, and likes to hide in shoes? Plus the aforementioned Gympie Gympie. And everything else there that inexplicably wants me dead. Yeah, I'll pass.

It was awful and I loved it. I watched it again a few months ago and it was as terrible/awesome as I remember it being.

That's awesome! Best decision the wife and I ever did after we got married was to save up for a year then go on our honeymoon to Australia. I only drove there once while around port Lincoln. Driving on the wrong side of the road was a trip!! We mostly flew I really wanted to rent a car and camp n such the wife doesn't do outdoors.

It should also be a rule that the winner has to post a picture of all the winnings together (even empties if they start drinking before all the beers arrive).

I always want to see that pic in the FFL threads, but people take a freekin year to send the winnings.

I will go one better - if I am somehow the winner, I won't open any boxes (at least, within a 4-6 week time limit) so everyone gets to see all the boxes as well, then a pic of everything that got opened.

Going to be a funny conversation in the first place when swmbos start asking why in the hell the FedEx guy has been there every day for the past 2 weeks.

And there in lies my problem. I hear they already had part of 66 closed due to flooding an hour ago. I have to somehow get my motorcycle from DC back home at 11 without dying or getting too wet. Should be a fun gamble.
