Was it salty black licorice? Or just plain old nasty black licorice? My wife loves the salty stuff. It's a Scandinavian thing. I could probably have her rattle off a dozen different brands. Makes me want to hurl.
Don't think it was salty. It was decades ago though so I really dont know. All I remember is it came in a cardboard box (i think it may have had a mylar type of bag inside) and were chew style. Dark green to black.
Good n plenty. They look like Mike n Ikes

Its funny how polarizing black licorice is.
Looked through both. didnt look like what I remember but what do I know. Think I will ask my mom this weekend. She would know.
I couldn't live without the free, free-range eggs I get from home. Can't taste a difference, but knowing they are healthy is a huge bonus. They are however oddly different. They are often twice the size of store bought eggs, usually find one double yolk per dozen and they are nearly impossible to hard-boil. My parents buy a cow once a year and we just buy meat from them now usually. We used to raise one every few years but aside from the emotional distress of having your pet that you once bottle fed slaughtered, it's just too much work for my parents now that all the boys are moved out.
If I could find a damn job that would allow me to work from home, I'd buy property out there, grow hops, and have a small family farm like I grew up on. Some day, maybe, unlikely.
To be able to hard boil an egg its best to use older eggs. The trick that the supermarkets have is that most of the eggs you buy are weeks old or older already (a truly fresh egg does not have that air pocket in it). Older eggs release from the shells easier and have a little air space in them so the shells dont burst when cooking.
I am an idiot, took motorcycle in to work today. Looks like it will be in the 20s for my ride back home tonight. I need a beer. 2.5 hours left till I can head home.
