The laid back schedule is what is so appealing about working at a University. I could be and have been paid more elsewhere, but I pretty much come and go as I please.

Sounds like your university is better than mine. I'm here 8-5 rain sleet or snow, I don't get an option on my schedule ever, plus I'm required to work on-call for free 2 weeks/month.

Love it when my coworker (who I outrank) passive aggressively emails me to check up on a project that I have literally done EVERY part of, because my boss asked her about the progress of it knowing shes an a**kisser and would involve herself where shes not needed.

My give a damn just busted for the day, and I've only been at work 20 mins.

Ha... I would have said "Interesting, bossman didn't ask me for a status report. I'll go talk to him."

****ing people like that get me all fired up.

I like to take a passive aggressive response. Wait awhile to get back to her, like maybe wait until later this week. Or even just pretend it didn't get delivered to you.

I tend to be at work more than the scheduled 8 hours. But I also do some slacking during that time; I prefer to work a little longer but at a more relaxed pace.

I would too except he would just come back with "it was on my mind and she was the only one around so I just asked if she knew anything, and since I never specifially assigned the project to anyone it's not inappropriate at all." Then her feelings get all hurt (shes a sensitive soul) and I have to deal with the butthurt for a week or two.

I'm leaving this job in 3 months, and counting down.

Don't stress yourself out and if you can't get all the work done in time, make sure they know it's too much. Don't fall into the trap of working unpaid OT every day.

Record all hours worked. That way even if you dont get OT you have a written record of what all you are doing.

No dice on unpaid OT. 5pm and you see dust tracks from my desk to the door. I leave work at work and never take it home with me. I get in 45 minutes to an hour early almost every day and sometimes work through lunch if I have a bunch going on. I can for sure handle it, but don't feel like I'm getting compensated accordingly, know what I mean?

Thats the right attitude. Put in your hours and leave. If they run out of hours before you run out of work, its not your fault.

Reply to her email, putt the bosses name in the to line and answer her question. Passive aggressiveness is a wonderful thing for stuff like that.

2001-2003, but I think they are kicking the tires on some new material. I would probably watch it again if it came back.

It does have an underground following and at hot topic. Gir is my favorite. The little robot companion. Looks like last year they started a comic series. Hope it comes back. Lot of the 90s nick shows seems to be coming back.

My ******* cousin has this tattooed on his arm, right next to the dead narwhal.

Yeah.

The Hot Topic Kids are the reason I've never watched it. Working next door to Hot Topic for four years is the reason I don't trust Hot Topic kids.

Our human resource department has this nice classification for salaried positions. Basically it boils down to " you know what needs to get done" kind of thing.

As long as the lab is running smoothly and senior design students are on track, I have an extremely relaxed schedule. I am always out of here before 5 regardless.

Don't know how you worked at Yankee Candle for four years. Just accidentally inhaling when I walk by that store makes me piss my pants and forget my name for 30m.

I've always been amazed that kids could afford to buy stuff from that place. 30 bucks for a tee shirt? Such a rebel you have to wear it, but not rebel enough to have to ask for mummy and duddy's money I guess.
