Yeah when I want to be fancy like Gavin I pour my Rainiers into a glass and pronounce it like a Frenchie. I just need to work on the manservant to pour it for me.

Manservanting in Gavin's castle (I think that's the proper term) wouldn't be so bad though.

He probably has several, so the workload can't be too bad... free dental, and all the science lagers you can sneak past him while he's at the day spa or playing tennis.

F'en Californians! After the mid-late 90s exodus, should've ended...not that I'm biased. Still on the outskirts..so not too bad here.

Some parts aren't so bad. I typically avoid Austin in general because I hate traffic, but my brother lives right next to the greenbelt off of MoPac, and I'll visit him every now and then. That part's pretty cool. And Jester King is nearby.

I hear mankini's chafe though

Osker Blues is opening in North Austin April 20th. Austin Beer Works has a nice hangout also. PintHousePizza not too shabby, great pizza.

Went to Pinthouse Pizza a few weekends ago for my bachelor party dinner. The pizza was excellent, but I didn't care for any of the house beers I tried. Luckily their other guest beers were good.

Hell week is over. Time for beer!

Hit the bottle shop (actually several) with one purpose. Of course that which was everywhere when I had no money is gone when I do (The Abyss). But I got other stuff.

Milds and Bitter go into casks tonight. Another Mild (another Dark Mild but this time with a sizable percentage of wheat) brewing Sunday morning.

Starting weekend w/ Lichtenhainer.

Wish you clowns were in Canada so that I could trade beers.

And no, I don't wish I was in the US. You should come to me.

Do you want me to send you some Abyss? Pretty sure it's still on the shelf at a local grocer. The expensive rye/cognac ones too.

My day so far today summed up to one anecdote;

Contractor: Your price is too high, the LED isn't supposed to be dimming. take it out and give me the deduct.

Me: The driver in the fixture is dimmable by nature, I can take it out, but there is no deduct since the driver is inherently dimmable. The factory caps off the leads when they build it, if you want, but there is no deduct.

Contractor: Do it anyway, we want to save money.

Send revised price

Contractor: Why is my price still the same, you took out the dimming, right?

Donezo! Bring on the booze

Haaaaa!!!! You should have told him its an added to go non-dim since the factory has to open up the fixture and disconnect/cap off the dimming leads.

Or better yet, give him a $10/fixture deduct but explain the price on the controls goes up $20/fixture since they aren't dimming anymore and the relays have to work twice as hard.

Waiting at the Apple Store while they extract my hard drive. Got a quote for data extraction for $700-$1200. (Not from apple, they aren't even charging me to pull the hard drive). But Damn! Data recovery is an expensive bitch!

You're too kind ;)

One shop had one bottle on reserve for someone who hadn't been by to pick it up. Beer guy there told me if it stays another day or two it's mine.

I'm not sure if more is going to turn up. I hope so. If not I might take you up on that.

This part of the territory views LED technology as black magic. It's horrible dealing with them
