There's a plan. The ceilings in our living room are about '14?

Our ceiling are only 8' and FL has better beaches so summer there will be worth it

We're at 11' at the exposed beam.

It was the first thing we wanted to do, 2 1/2 years ago.

You animal!

Only three movies ever made me cry. Snoopy come home when I was five. Braveheart when he yelled freedom and the end of toy story three when Andy drives away. Lost my **** in that theater. My wife and kids looked at my like I was nuts, as I'm not the most emotionally connected person.

My wife says I have the emotions of a rock(12+ yrs of seeing mankind at its worst) but I've loss my chit everytime I watch TOY STORY 3( the look on there faces when they know it's over but glad there going out with there buds=priceless) FOREST GUMP( when he finds out he's a dad and the kid is normal)

My wife has probably seen me cry a dozen times...but never due to a movie...

+1 Throat lump every time.

Another recent tear jerking one was "Room" The book is intense and the movie great too. Don't think I was so emotionally fragile on these topics before having sprogs of my own. Definitely puts a ***** in your emotional armor I reckon.

Having kids has made me a puswa...

God, I want to dothe taxes but the wife's W-2 isn't here yet. I can probably derive whatsrin the W-2 based in the last pay stub, but I want to make sure my numbers jive.

I have a whole $153 coming my way. Best I've ever done was $98.

Can't wait till that makes it here. I've been trying to cut down on beer purchases, but something takes over me when I come across those gold tops at the store. I black out and next thing I know I'm sneaking beer in the house while my wife is asleep and burning receipts. ;)

Ha, that's exactly me. My New Years resolution was to spend less on beer (and by that I meant drink MORE of what I make and less on what I pick up at the store). But so far this year has been epic in terms of money spent on beer. Yeah, lots of it needs to be sneaked in...

Yeah we have textured vaulted ceilings on the main floor and I'm gonna rip a bunch of stuff out over the next year or two. I'll never get it smooth. I'm planning on covering it up with bead board or tongue and groove. I scraped a small closet this weekend that had popcorn and hadn't been painted in about 30 years and it was terrible. Our ceilings have a texture, it's not quite as pronounced or ugly as popcorn like this closet was, but there's very little smooth drywall in this house. I'd like to pistol whip the guy who came up with that idea in the first place.

I think a Florida summer might make me melt; I'm just going one room at a time that way it doesn't overwhelm me or my lungs. We have cathedral popcorn ceilings in the living room that I am absolutely dreading scraping. My tape and mud game is popping though!

Any tips for learning how to mud? I thought I was getting better but based upon the walls today I am most certainly not getting better.

The best tip I can give is....... hire it out.

I have done a ton of mud and can do a decent job, but it always take way too long. A pro gets it done fast.

I was brought up on a fly rod. Didn't get a spinning rod until I was in college.

Drinking this. Hides the 17.5% pretty well.

Yeah... the beast hide it after a year or so.

Tin Man Damascene, I am in love with this beer.

Lamb still hasn't gone on.

FOREST GUMP

Yurk. Not a fan.

Did taxes, replaced a doorknob, finished the car, put up the vinyl decals in kid #2's room, cooked dinner.

Big ol DIPA.

Car looks good.

Suddenly watching grease, and drinking a bit. Thanks for the Almanacs, @Val214!

The Stacy's mom to begin was only okay.
