Any tips for learning how to mud? I thought I was getting better but based upon the walls today I am most certainly not getting better.

Yeah sub it out! Floating mud is an art. If you are ok with function over form it's a task anyone can do, if you are a perfectionist get someone to do it. Gravity samples of my Oat Dark Mild and BX Best Bitter. Hopefully the Oat DM drops a bit, sitting at 4°P, hoping for 2.5-3°P, but it tastes absolutely fantastic. Almost as good as my house Mild, but definitely a different beer. The Bramling Bitter is at target, 2.5°P, and also tastes great, and got an extra 1.5 oz of Bramling Cross dry hops. Both are going to get casked next weekend along with my Pale Mild.
