Smoke, oak, and raspberry? Sorry, that sounds bizarre. How is it?
Split a bottle of Cascade Kriek with a friend over an impromptu dinner. Now I have to find the one New Belgium makes.
I should have asked this sooner, but has anyone used 1450 on an ipa? I'm looking for a pretty crisp and bitter forward beer and know this yeast is described as providing a big mouthfeel without being too sweet. With that said, should i mash low to account for this in trying to keep it crisp?

Had a few Tripels, a few Petite Saisons, etc. Tripel now. Last beer in the fridge. Will restock in the AM.
As I was running the mash out. Still coming down steady. I'd say 6-8" now without actually measuring. Worst should hit any time, and something like 3 inches per hour in patches.
That's Denny's right? Yes, mash low (148ish) for 75ish minutes IMO. Keep the crystal to a minimum (I only use 8 oz of carastan in a 10 gallon batch of my (D)IPAs at this point). I've also gone completely to FWH/Whirlpool/Keg Hop for my (D)IPAs. That with Denny's should give you a really NE IPA profile. Dry but juicy.
Mm yeah no. I'll take my 100* 99% humidly summer days over that any day
Also I live on a hill, and someone was snowboarding down it earlier. Quite funny.
Was it you?
Have you had it before? This are very different beers.
View attachment 332267late night R&D, thinking about using sorachi ace hops for a sasion I plan on brewing on Sunday along with Nelson and fresh orange zest.
This beer is a great palette cleanser/ night cap after that BCBS
I have drank BB' Sorachi Ace before, from their taproom. It has a saison-like quality already that I attributed to the hops. I imagine they will work well in a saison.
Latest...not really into all these 'words' so just pics.
