Is this a qualification of working for the man in brown?

That's exactly what I tell all the new guys. Be in your truck and rolling before they get to the door.

Mild means a lot of things. In the modern context, it means sessionable and malty. Usually (not always) fairly dark, caramel, chocolatey, biscuity, and very low hops, but still dry enough to be sessionable. Maybe a little roast, but for the color it's rarely very roasty. It's not a common style. Few US breweries will brew one, and not even many UK breweries outside of the midlands will brew one regularly.

Update: coffee version better. Still not great.

I got it on sale for $15, but I'm still bitter because when I got home I noticed the cork was leaking a little. I emailed Breckenridge and they responded right away to say 'we'll give you a new one, let me set something up'. Then I never heard from them again...

PM me. I can hook you up with Breck and people there to make it right. They know they had issue with it and are trying to make it right.

First official pour of my Citra Tart. Man, this is good. Definitely the best sour I've made thus far. View attachment 332227

Citra in a sour? Very cool, I was gonna dry hop with Amarillo in an apricot sour but maybe I will do half with citra

Aaand we are running out of blankets in the sick girl house.

Dranking cold water

Yeah, it turned out really good. I have a habit of not brewing the same stuff twice, but I'll definitely be making this again.

My wife is watching minimalist Japanese cooking shows on youtube (they're something else) and the news blaring in the background.

Now she's putting on Man in the High Castle instead of the news. Catching up on everything I've watched after she's gone to sleep at night. It's a very good series if you haven't watched it (Amazon streaming, I think you need Prime but I'm not sure). Basically alternate history had the Axis won WWII. I need to read the book. I've read a few of PKD's other books, but not that one.

I say 35-40 minutes.

I enjoyed that movie. My wife did not.

However far she makes it, she's probably doing better than my wife, who crashed on the couch at 8:30.

Now 23 minutes in, and she demanded a snack break.

She doesn't know Tarantino very well, does she? :D

'nother Flower Power, something stronger in the wings. Don't want to conflate the flavor of a strong beer with celery sticks.
