Best of luck to the guys going pro and the pro hopefuls. Working on my business plan now and if I'm not funded by the end of the year I'm gonna give up on becoming a pro Brewer and just open a small coffee shop/roaster.

Speaking of this, what do y'all think of this as a logo? My last name is French for clear water so that's where it comes from.

I like it, but would move the bottom line closer together, instead of the gap between AZ and established. Something just seems off to me on the spacing the way it is.

This should do it for the night.

Best of luck this go around @BrewinHooligan . I agree with Mike that the spacing on the two lines is awkward. Maybe extend the line from the 1st row down and have the text to the left be right justified and the text to the right be left justified?

Water, treadmill soon. Son woke up with diarrhea last night - hoping some Pepto settles him enough to make it through the day. He has too many tests this week to miss a day.

I thought it was a good mix of old and new.
And I'm serious about the carbonation issue. If you can, check at Tallgrass if they take into account elevation in Denver vs Manhattan. I've had enough cans and bottles from flat lands that gush big time when I open here and had a few trade partners mention the beer from up here seams under-carbed. Inquiring minds want to know....

There have been studies on this and most of them do point to altitude reflecting against carbonation. You aren't crazy

:edit: found that the higher the pressure, the greater maintained carbonation. With lower pressures at higher altitudes, even despite the colder temperatures, a beverage will go flat faster then it would in a place such as NOLA, which is 9' below sea level.

I'm from the original generation too. Personally, I put the new one in my top 3. It had the feel of the originals. I know there's dislike of 1-3 but I like 3. If only for the place it has in the overall story. The final reveal of Palpatine's manipulation to gain control (a la Hitler?) Anakin's attempt to prevent the future only secures it. And the final battle where we see Obi-wan agonize over battling someone he loves as a brother. Script may have sucked but all that s*** was powerful. 1&2? No thanks.

I'm on the other side of the coin. This, to me, felt the least like a Star Wars movie and a lot like an Abrahms movie. It's the only one, I didn't have to urge to go see again. As crappy the scripts got, i just assumed GL was trying to appeal to a younger crowd, we hopped back in line. The new one was ridiculous predictable every step of the way. Mainly because the story lines had been done 3 times already.

Couple new to me pick ups.

This is decent. It's a little thin and not very tart but if it was 80 degrees this would really hit the spot unfortunately it's 8 degrees.

Somebody was just saying that it was extremely odd they chose to release this now and not in the summer time were it would be perceived better. My guess is people like the taste of rock salt with their snow and it may be picked up as a shoveling beer

Really lacking in the salinity deptartment as well. I don't think I've had a gose yet that I thought was great though so maybe the style isnt for me.

Good morning semi-tolerable people. What's with your infatuation over Wegman's? I've got three between home and work.
Coffee.

That would definitely add a layer of logistical headaches that I don't think many breweries would be able to take on easily. Packaging, inventory management, shipping, etc would all be impacted. Then where do you draw the line? How many different elevations in between 0 ft and 50000 ft (that's how high Denver is, right? ;)) do you need to account for.

Probably doesn't matter to you, but looks like there's one in the UK already.

Coffee.

Lucky motherflocker. Or unlucky, if your commute is that long.

Flocc. Full Throttle.

good pricing, really good produce and meats. I go there for all my bbq needs. They are the only ones around that leave the fat cap on brisket, everybody else around here cuts it off for some reason.

Sick as a floccin dog. Worse than yesterday. Why I don't move out of this place when my wife and kid are sick is beyond me. Trying to muster up the strength to go to work anyway.
Since I was just going to sit around when I got home yesterday, I decided to finally go see Star Wars instead. I really liked it. The look and feel of it was a million times better than 1-3. Was disappointed by a couple things, and one major problem with casting, but that's probably just me being picky. Over all, though, I really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next one.

I'm fading fast... but I'm going to try and stick it out. I knew I shouldn't have been in such close proximity to my kid, but how do you tell a sick 3 year old that you can't hold them or let them snuggle up on the couch with you when they're feeling like crap.

The sacrifices we make...

Nice of you to go to the movies and spread your germs with the entire theater. [emoji40]

Feel better, having some delicious homeroast.

On the carbonation elevation thing it's not an issue at packaging but it as time of enjoyment.

The volumes of CO2 in the beer is controlled via the generated partial pressure of CO2 in the bright-tank. Saves money by not nededing to force carb or bottle condition. The same holds true though regardless of carbonation method.

This tank/bottle/can is a closed system totally independent of altitude. It will function just as well in Death Valley as it would in orbit.

Now that the beer is packaged and has its desired CO2 disolved and in equilibrium in the beer and the bottle/can headspace it goes nowhere. Another closed system. Optimal carbonation no matter wher it's placed.

Time to open beer.
Open it at high elevation and it will foam a lot more as the lower atmospheric pressure allows more CO2 to boil off more rapidly. Take it to the extreme and open the beer in orbit. The CO2 will evaporate in an instant and the beer itself won't be far behind as it too boils off.

A more realistic scenario is cracking a beer when you are skiiing in the Rockies and see the foam come out like starsan from a keg. Same forces in effect.

Apologies in advance for the morning geek-out

Bill Nye would be proud of you. That was perhaps the most concise way to explain it...well done

Bought an Abyss last night after our conversations here. Also saw one of the Rye Whiskey barrel ones, guess that's new. $25 though? Pass. Then I got a japanese craft beer. Crack that tomorra. Hopefully it doesn't have tentacles.
