********* now in addition to spending too much between the bottle shop, my LHBS, and Amoeba Music @Billy-Klubb has me for the first time in years thinking about buying a floccing flight jacket. But the deterance is after losing ~40 lbs my Ben Sherman Harrington actually floccing fits again. Harrington or suede/sheepskin overcoat and sta-prest is where it's at. That'll beat a ****ing Alpha flight jacket any day of the week. Pure floccing Trojan style, that is. Floccing new school bonehead ******s can keep the bleachers and MA1 jackets.

What the flocks going on in here, I have 15 or so pages to catch up on since late this afternoon, ya'll need to get a life:p
Having a milk stout and doing stuff.

F** you @Billy-Klubb

Now I'm eyeing a Fred Perry sweater vest as I have in the past. That's proper f***ing style right there. But I can't afford that sh**.

Damn backwoods just sitting on shelves up there?

Yes. Grabbed the extra 8 to be on the safe side. More in the basement too. :)

A) Extra points for the relatively obscure Simpsons reference.

B) The last name of the guy who I was expecting to meet with is, in fact, Powers.

C) Beer gods swooped in and made me a hero for this incident. I got in my car at about 4:30 to head home. I normally leave the office at 5:00. When I got in the car, I immediately got a text from the wife "I totally forgot that the boy is supposed to be at a birthday party at 5:30. Any chance you can cut out early so I don't need to bring the girls with me when I take him?" Seeing my opportunity, I responded, "yeah, I just stopped in to the cigar bar to have one with Powers but I can leave right now and be home in 20 minutes". She was happy as hell to hear it.

I joke around about this, but I am home by 5:30 every night like clock work, don't get really ****faced very often, and actually spend time with my kids, so the wife doesn't usually give me too much grief for minor acts of jackassery.

Great save! Way to look like the hero!

More Azacca ipa and grilling burgers in the rain.

I think this makes beer #12 for the night. Fortunately they've almost all (minus the Wild Cider) been <5%.

Easily the best bottled US-brewed Mild I've ever had. There's a few draught/cask only US Milds I've had that have been better (and a number of UK bottled Milds). But it's very good stuff.

Ignorance Alert: describe a mild. Not sure I've ever had one. Of course, the last time I said such a thing, I was asking about saisons, a day after drinking a Hennepin.

Mild means a lot of things. In the modern context, it means sessionable and malty. Usually (not always) fairly dark, caramel, chocolatey, biscuity, and very low hops, but still dry enough to be sessionable. Maybe a little roast, but for the color it's rarely very roasty. It's not a common style. Few US breweries will brew one, and not even many UK breweries outside of the midlands will brew one regularly.

I'll pick some up, set up to keg my latest version of yours, are milds becoming a thing?:D

Another stout, shower and chill, work in the morning and swinging by Carton afterwards.

Why yes, that's 14 beers and I'm still standing.

#sessionbeersftw

Ok, even with session beers, at 14 I'm still pretty pissed up proper. TAking a break for now. Maybe more later after I finally meet the wife for dinner. Maybe not.

For the record, I hit backspace approximately 2x for every correct key.

WooOoOOOOOoOOoOoOOO!
