That's interesting...the most common complaint I see about black IPAs is that they're just regular IPAs with color correction and no malty complexity.

Def roast in this one. Always get a little chalkiness too, and the hop character is always a bit muted for me. Maybe a blindfolded tasting is in order to be sure I'm not full of ****. [emoji6]
