I was big on whatever I could get my hands on (except heroin or meth, wouldn't touch it). But mostly same.

Yeah, I didn't graduate. Partially because drugs, partially because broke as f*** and couldn't afford it.

Sour sampling night.

I wish this Flanders Red would drop a little more. It's been hanging at 2.7°P since last sampled in September (brewed November of 2014). Would like it to be at 2°P or less. Roeselare really is boring the first time around, even with other dregs added. Character is alright, but not as intense as I would like. Planned bottling was in May of this year but I'm probably going to push that back.

Brett Old Ale is looking pretty though (brewed September of 2014, secondaried with Brett C and oak soaked in Port in October of 2014). 1.5°P, and character has blossomed beautifully. Did over-oak it a bit, but not horrendously. Set for an October bottling.

'14 Lamebic is next for sampling.

The newer ones (Oud Bruin, Kriek, Flanders Pale, and '15 Lamebic) are all still on the young side (about a year for the first three with previous September samples, and only a few months for the Lamebic and not sampled at all yet) so I won't be sampling those now. Give em another few months. Of course the ECY20 decimated the gravity on the first three all down to <0.5°P, to the point where some blending is definitely going to be necessary at least for the Oud Bruin.

The length of your post exceeded my interest limit.

I was big on weed, coke, and whiskey.

Natty light and, when we had the cash, crown royal. Never a big weed fan.

I'm drinking some stout. Celebration next.

My old man has been dying to try Crown Royal Apple. So, I bought him a bottle and we opened it tonight. It's actually not bad. Tastes like whiskey with a green apple jolly rancher. As long as you don't think of it as whiskey and more like a liqueur, except not as sweet, it's not bad at all.

So it tastes like a Washington Apple? One of my favorite shots. :D

Nope. Bama over MSU was the best bowl game. If you lived among delusional Sparty fans, you'd agree.

TCU was down 31-0 at half time, came back to win it in triple overtime. Regardless of your Wolverine blood, this game was tits.

You're the kind that likes Appletinis, aren't you?

Lamebic '14. Definite progressions here. Still a very young Lamebic though, but the chardonnay and oak is a nice touch. Again could drop a little lower, but this has until fall of '17 to get there.

Is there an emoji limit per post @WesleyS

Anyone seen @Bucknuts ?

What happened to the other thread? Is this like the other thread only for people who don't necessarily care about being on topic? If so that's a good idea. I've yet to meet a drinker with laser like focus on task. If this is just that thread again I'm awake and I'm off work so of course I'm drinking beer. This beer. It was better first time I had it.

Welcome. Yes.

Same for me.

Sandwich.

Two types of cheese slices, bacon, mozzarella sticks, coin fries and chicken strips. The dressing that goes on it is a blend of ranch and Dorthy Lynch.

Drunk food.

You had me until the sauce. Hot sauce it up, I would be on the next flight out.

<list 15 different sour beers>

.... how big IS you apartment?!?!

Less bourbon than before in the glass. also less porter.

At the risk of sounding like someone who read this whole post... Why not blend the boring Flanders with the younger our bruin that needs blending?

Drinking the last of my Rittenhouse. I'll probably start on Breckenridge bourbon tomorrow.

Dunno. Landlord never said, I never measured. I'd guess 500 sq ft 1 br, give or take. But half the rent of equivalently sized studios in this neighborhood.

That's actually not a bad idea. Except the Oud Bruin is too young, and hasn't yet developed any of the funk/acid/fun stuff yet. At least it hadn't in September. I have 10 gals of the stuff. Guess I should take a sample to make sure.

@psylocide happy birthday!
@finsfan hope you have time to board at vail a day. We were there for new years my tongue was hanging out. If you want/need any restaurant tips or anything let me know. Im sure you didnt notice the legal weed :)

Celebration. No pic because that's not required anymore. So yes, it did actually happen.
