I was big on whatever I could get my hands on (except heroin or meth, wouldn't touch it). But mostly same.

Yeah, I didn't graduate. Partially because drugs, partially because broke as f*** and couldn't afford it.

Sour sampling night.

I wish this Flanders Red would drop a little more. It's been hanging at 2.7°P since last sampled in September (brewed November of 2014). Would like it to be at 2°P or less. Roeselare really is boring the first time around, even with other dregs added. Character is alright, but not as intense as I would like. Planned bottling was in May of this year but I'm probably going to push that back.

Brett Old Ale is looking pretty though (brewed September of 2014, secondaried with Brett C and oak soaked in Port in October of 2014). 1.5°P, and character has blossomed beautifully. Did over-oak it a bit, but not horrendously. Set for an October bottling.

'14 Lamebic is next for sampling.

The newer ones (Oud Bruin, Kriek, Flanders Pale, and '15 Lamebic) are all still on the young side (about a year for the first three with previous September samples, and only a few months for the Lamebic and not sampled at all yet) so I won't be sampling those now. Give em another few months. Of course the ECY20 decimated the gravity on the first three all down to <0.5°P, to the point where some blending is definitely going to be necessary at least for the Oud Bruin.
