That has actually fixed it. Thanks.

Tall, tanned, young and lovely.........

( I stayed near Ipanema Beach when I was there. Slept on a 10x8 floor with 3 other blokes. Classy as flock)

I was so opposed to the fenced in yard when we bought our house. Now, I couldn't imagine living without being able to just open the door and let the monsters go running loose into the yard.

Same goes for kids.

My 3 year old just found out that she can go in and out as she pleases (within reason) and is on cloud 9.

Just went on a tour of the preschool by our house that we may send all 3 kids to in the fall. Then I saw the tuition rates. Looks like I'll have to give up good beer and go back to drinking busch light.

We are looking forward to sending our youngest to regular school instead of daycare in order to get a massive price break. 217 a week to 3.5k a year plus summer programs and after care. It can't possibly be more then 8k total, which would still be FAR less then what we pay now.

We pay ~$10k a year for 1 full time and 1 that goes for 10 minutes in the morning and then is dropped off at school, by the daycare, and then stays maybe an hour in the afternoon. We chose to keep my daughter @ the daycare's preschool program.

We will have two part timers come this August so a little will be saved.

If you're ever ISO, I've got the hookup.

Why would you ever be opposed to a fenced backyard?

Kind of anti-social. I grew up on a dead end street in a neighborhood filled with kids...and no fences. We had the run of the neighborhood. We played football on a "field" that spanned 3 yards. We played with the kids on the next street over by walking though our back-yards. We had neighborhood 4th of July parties that involved everyone in the neighborhood just carrying their picnic tables, grills and coolers to a central location for the day.

I'd much rather my kids grow up in that environment than the urban-sprawl "stay out of my yard" neighborhood I now live in...where everyone has a fence around their yard. But it is nice for the dogs.

We pay to have the kids in an after school program 2 or 3 days a week for ~$25 per day. I just come in a few minutes late on the days I put them on the bus.

I can understand that. You can still have a friendly neighborhood feel though. I grew up with fenced yards and all of us neighborhood kids would still play basketball in the front yard and run to my backyard with the trampoline etc. Anyways do kids even play anymore besides their iphones?

@TogyG or anybody else...the gal is in New Orleans for a few days for work, she's actually in Metairie on Causeway blvd just south of lake pontchartrain. Apparently the hotel restaurant left a little to be desired, any thoughts nearby there for a solid joint to have something local? She does have a car but is a bit hesitant to travel too far.
Thanks all!

Saw the Fireman's 4. Did you try their 4 Squared?

Literally my #1 beer in the state. Love that crap.

4 Squared is also nice, like dad said.

I haven't had 4 squared. Fireman's was a bit sweet for my preferences. Had a Decadent from Ska to close the night.

Morning. I slept in and then went for a run. Jeebus it's hot here. Bank sign said it was 92F. That means the drinking all day is happening in the A/C.

Rehydrating with this.

@Psylocide this rivals Busch as a post-workout beer. The only thing it's missing is about 4 ounces.

Try the Little Professor sour stout - damn nice beer. Will be canned soonish.

Water and a walk with the fam-damly here soon.

So I woke up this morning to constant gunfire and then news about Brussels. Not a good sign.

Of course the gunfire is a lot less exciting than it sounds. I live across a highway from a military base and they sometimes run drills at 7am for whatever reason (blanks I assume). Usually I'm up by then but got to sleep in a bit today.

Our neighborhood is getting more kids in it...and they do play. The difference is, they have to come to our door to see if our kids in the backyard. When we were kids, we just saw the other neighborhood kids in the backyard and walked back.

My dogs are little and harmless, but I do like that the kids usually come to the door before they go back in the yard. I like to make sure the kid is not going to be scared of the mongrels before I cut them loose in the same fenced in yard. My dogs are very high energy...especially in their own yard. Some kids get a little scared of the craziness.

Stupid washing machine is on the brink, thing is almost 10 years old. I guess I know where the 800 bucks that I made Sunday is going.

I remember having the same washer and dryer set throughout my childhood, goes to show that tings are not made like they use to be.

#reallifeproblems

Google or Yahoo the make, model and symptom. They are still easy to fix if you have basic skills. Washer at our old house was having issues in the winter, turned out it was a common problem with a simple fix. Zip tie the water flow meter so it would stay horizontal, something about cold water causing molded rubber tubing to twist . It worked with out issue after that so WTH do I know. :mug:

Speaking of coming and going as they please, when it is nice outside we leave the sliding glass door open to our backyard patio and close the sliding screen door. I have taken the bottom corner of the screen and freed it from the frame. It works as a doggy door during the day (when bugs aren't too bad). They just walk through the screen and it flops back closed to keep the big bugs out.

I get some @m00ps beers today. Hoping the box is delivered on my lunch break so I can get them in the fridge and drink them all tonight.

Speaking of deliveries - @1977Brewer , there's a box of cellar reinforcements at your door

I did a little research and it is either the drain pump or the timer. The problem is that we cannot go without a washer to wait on the parts and then hope that fixes it .

Man, I'm sitting here at my desk and just came to a stark realization. I'm getting fat. Need to do something about that...right after I run out and get a greasy burger for lunch...

My wife said her pants were getting tight now that she's not breastfeeding. Two days later she came home with a bag of chocolate eggs because it's Easter. When I said she could go jog with me she just laughed.

I have a beer and wife tells me that's why I'm fat, meanwhile we're eating pizza.
