Thanks?? Sanded. It's pretty smooth and what doesn't kill them makes em stronger! But ya, probably will anyway. Also changed out ceiling fan...old man's getting tired and thirsty.

Sorry, context in typing. There may be the concern of splinters, but otherwise great job. Should keep them out of trouble for a while and maybe encourage them to become engineers or the like.

I don't OVER pronounce stuff, like Giada does everything Italian on the Food Network...really irritating, and I would stop watching her, but yeah...kind of mesmerizing sometimes. I do, however, pronounce Gose correctly.

Drinking game - every time Giada over-Italians any word, drink.

"ZEE-tee" alone would be worth two or three drinks every show... she says it so hard, you can see her back teeth.

All that said, she is still one cute little woman.

:D

Relevant story:

My FIL is adopted. He never tried to actually find out about his lineage until about 5 years ago. Turns out his mother was of Italian descent. Now, whenever he fixes pasta for dinner--which is most of the time--he overpronounces words like mozzarella ("MOOTZ-ah-RELLAH") and prosciutto ("pra-SHOOT-toh") like that.

He's a pretty good guy otherwise, but God that's maddening.

Wife and I are thinking escape artistes. We keep adding to it, can't wait to see how they respond next weekend. Have 2-1year old grandbabies. Tried to make it big enough for 2..but you know how that goes. My kids are jealous of all the stuff been building last year for them. Ha!

Ugh. "Caw-lee-flower" Heard her say that once and after that the Jay Leno chin/jaw won and her other assets weren't enough to keep me interested.

Just ordered 30 lbs of crawfish for Saturday. should be a good time.

Installing the CA intake kit on my truck and drinking an OC, OC goes well with mechanics.

When I lived in Jersey I always laughed at all the kids who's grandparents maybe were a little Italian, but they were straight up Jersey trash, and always overpronounced the food even though they spoke zero Italian. One kid I used to work with was half Irish, a quarter Italian, the rest who knows, but pretended like he was straight off the boat from Italy. We used to call him one of those derogatory Irish slurs that I suppose I shouldn't repeat because it made him so mad. Even my boss did it. Come to think of it, we potentially could have gotten in trouble for it. But he laughed about it too when he got done being mad.

Anyway, relevant as to why the Italian Americans pronounce food that way, even if actual folks in Italy don't: http://www.atlasobscura.com/article...agool-the-italian-new-jersey-accent-explained

Fascinating and makes a lot of sense.

This after gym. Going to enjoy rest day tomorrow.
