Like hunter said, that would be more of sunk cost. The example you were making is when people fall for the sunk cost fallacy. Or, give a man a beer, and he'll waste an hour. Teach a man to brew beer, and he'll waste a lifetime.

Again, the opportunity cost thing was unrelated. Never mind.

Meanwhile, I've seen alcohol be a heavy factor in many a fresh cut's first crop.

I usually just end up buying brewing schwack I really want... and falling off of unicycles. Unrelated, and mostly the former.

SD is a right to work state, so they can fire you for no reason.

Even in non-right to work states that's usually the case. The nature of "at will" employment. As long as it's not legally prohibited discrimination (and you have to be able to prove it) they can let you go whenever wherever for no reason if you're at will (and generally unless you have a contract, you're at will).

Right to work specifically has to do with unions, and closed shops. That's it.

TL;DR ... Didn't read all that gibber-jabber, but wasn't it supposed to start with "well, actually..."?

I always preferred.

PKU, we done covered this already. :p I was asked to leave as a result.

* had long hair and a goatee, joined the FD now I'm high and tight, clean shaven( I look like a vato with a mustache-not a good look on me)

*speaking of unions shouldn't we be shipping the grand prize through ups( help support @thatguyjon pension. I've never shipped beer before so maybe there's a reason y'all use FedEx

* @wyo that's crazy with your back. How did they find it were you having lots of back pain?

I think I'm caught up now.

Not sure why everyone uses FedEx, but set yourself up an account. It's free and you get a shipping discount from day 1.

Also, check @thatjonguy 's sig for his permission to ship via FedEx.

As for wyo's back thing... I don't know how you could have that in there and not know.

Any skiers/boarders have a favorite Tahoe resort? First time out west coming up, probably just 2 days. Currently leaning toward Heavenly, but haven't made any final decisions. @mhurst111 @finsfan @anybody

Most of the time my family just went to north star.
Mt rose was nice but a little small.
Heavenly is huge.

Keep in mind that was 16 years ago.

I've had it about 5 years. Noticed it one day as about the size of a marble. Saw a surgeon two years ago and it was about an inch long and he said leave it in or take it out it didn't matter. Unless it started changing. Flash forward two years and it's like holy hell it grew!!

Gross, coconut. Ate a whole bag of shredded coconut ( the sugary-sweet cake topping kind) once in middle school and threw up from it. Havent been able to stomach coconut ever since. A whole like 2 years later.

Shhhh... dont tell. You may become the next Gary_Oak

You kinda resemble a skinny Pugsley Adams in that pic.

Grand babies new activity board with help...of course...hb pilsner/mosaic.

Oh the humanity. Poor kid is going to get a splinter. I hope you all sealed that ply somehow. Well done actually.

Thanks?? Sanded. It's pretty smooth and what doesn't kill them makes em stronger! But ya, probably will anyway. Also changed out ceiling fan...old man's getting tired and thirsty.

When I first joined HBT, I started a thread to chronicle my day of drinking 15+ year old beers that had been sitting on my bar as displays. It was quite an experience...

I am glad you didn't chronicle that night and/or morning after...

;)

Having nugget nectar #2, yelling at the kids, and getting ready to order some subs for dinner.

Gotta shave my head again soon since I let it go for a couple weeks. Beard shall be left alone, despite the whining from the misses.
