Bluebird after casking my WGV Bitter, and racking my Session Kriek onto 10 lbs of cherries. Good news there is the thing's finally got some f***ing sourness 13 months later. I was getting very worried.

Remember the good ole days when the drinking thread was banned so we used one checkin on uptappd for the alchy convo? Good times. :D

Banned? I thought it was when HBT was down?

Must have missed us getting the temporary boot.

I was an outsider long before I forced my way in.

Guess I need an Untappd just in case one of these morons gets us locked.

Hey beer making type people. Is 1.025 an insane FG from 1.095 OG? I'll be checking back on this one in a few days anyway, it just seems awful high.

That sounds right. That thread was closed multiple times so i assumed thats what had happened.

It was closed due to "he who must not be mentioned by name" and the whole scammer guy he called out publicly and more so by pm. Fo' Rizzle. That's when the major Untappd stuff started, after multiple duplicate threads were shut down.

Not at all. I wish some of my stouts had finished that high. You'll be happy with that at fridge temps and carbonation.

Okay, so, before I got here.

We missed my 1 year anniversary. I assume a large portion of us drank that day anyway.

It's been steady-ish for a few. Should have thrown the oak in 4 days ago. Lazy got me. Need to pick the bean to roast to finish it with. Thinking Nicaragua blended with Brazilian peaberry. I'm a dork. Might just dump a can of Folgers in it.

How much coffee you planning? I did half a pound for five days and the samples were fantastic. Go with a light roast.

Edit: you may not want that much coffee though. Mine was strictly a coffee forward beer. Quarter pound would be sufficient

I really like the cold brew at packaging method. 1/4 lb in a qt. of spring water, French pressed. Worked great in my Porter. This should take the same amount really well, and hold it for a while. I'll mix it up and pull a tiny mason jar sample. If it needs more I'll brew up a little. If I over did it I evidently started hating coffee.

While catching up I'm excited to hear a the good news about Cuvée Freddy dregs. I've got a bottle in the fridge and some belle saison. Any recipe suggestions?

I think it'll drop a couple more points, but it depends on the recipe and style as to whether that's too high.

And I'm drinking this right now. It's great. I can't believe how well it's held up.

Cofffffeeeeeeeeee. Then to gym to work off those beers I drank last night. The sour night cap that I harvested dregs from put me over last night the things we do for beer.....and science

Monday flight time, going to be a long day with a work dinner already scheduled for later. Uber driver showed up, then canceled on me and drove away because I didn't pick up my phone on first ring. Jokes on him cuz surge pricing disappeared on the 2nd request.
