I've been so busy lately I had no idea the Grammys were even happening tonight.

Dry Stout. Then bed. All the cheap swill I can drink tomorrow (Caps game tickets against the Kings, some sort of box thing with an open bar through the wife's company, but it'll be with her coworkers so I'm supposed to be well behaved).

And yet here I am still up. Had carb testers of the bottled portions (NHC bound) of the Oat Mild and BX Bitter, both of which are f***ing fantastic. Issue is that the BX Bitter is more inline with a *real* Best Bitter, and not so much what the BJCP guidelines say (let alone if a judge listens to Jamil talk about them, which is even worse). I may sub for the WGV bitter that'll get bottled/casked on Friday, since that may be a bit more of what the judges expect.

Coffee on the train to Stamford. It was quite a bit icy setting out, but quickly turned to slush and then wet roads.

I haven't watched the Grammy's in more years than I can remember. Probably the year that Jethro Tull won best "hard rock" award.

I think I see the problem here.

Cafe at work. Not clearing the car yesterday paid off, as the 1/2" layer of ice slid off easy with the snow.

Waiting for the doctor to open so I can schedule them to fix the back. Yes, yes, I AM a whiney little schmuck.

Icy as hell here. Almost took a spill and landed on my bag. I moved the bag in the knick of time and landed firmly on my tail bone. Thankfully enough, the 22oz and 750ml bottles I'm carrying in my bag were unharmed.

Coffee. Shouldn't have stayed up so late drunk painting. It's gonna be a long first day back to work

Know what sucks? Apathy. Story unfolding

I'd like to support you, but can't find the energy...

Only way to paint though (provided you can do it without making a mess)

Train is abysmally slow today ... good thing my boss is off today.

I'm on the train this morning, reading, playing candy crush, things like that. We have maybe three stops to go until I get off. Im on one end of the car, and on the other end of the car a girl, maybe a sophomore or junior in high school passes out and starts to seize. Her boyfriend, frantic, has no idea what to do, asks somebody to push the call for help button. Somebody pushes it, the conductor asks if there is an emergency, nobody says a god damn word. Nothing. I make my over to them, yell at people to help or get the **** out of my way. Shes done seizing, but her boyfriend is trying to prop her up. I tell him I'm going to pick her up, ask if that's ok, pick her up and turn around, people are standing in the doorway, afraid to lose their spots or just gawking. Again, had to yell at people. Get her outside, take off her scarf, lay her down on a bench, cover her up, elevate her legs and start asking her questions. Finally a god damn nurse gets off the same car as me and starts doing the same, checking her pulse. Rescue got there as she was coming around, able to answer questions, ask what happened. People just sat there and watched...they should be ashamed of themselves. Seriously

Was sleeting yesterday morning, still cold and freezing up last night. Today? Pouring rain and 60F. Come on...really?!

Update: I actually opened a door for a while to cool off the house. Carolina blue skies and barely a cloud to be found now. Crazy.
