240/120v to 24 volt transformer help please

Please correct if im wrong but if im hooking it up to 120 power source I would just need to hook up the white and brown wire according to the picture on the transformer right? Im a bit confused on what those black dots mean on the diagram. Thanks

Wire 1 is twisted together with wire 3 and hooked to the black wire on a 120v system

Wire 2 is twisted together with wire 4 and hooked to the white wire on a 120v system

White & Yellow twisted together with the black 120V wire

Blue & Brown twisted together with the white 120v wire
