That label is so attractive. That there's an awesome beer inside, too, just makes it look that much better. Maybe it's time to make the trip out to SARA. I've been meaning to for a while.

any club homies making a trip out this weekend that can pick up my bottles? I had a personal thing last weekend that didn't let me connect with my usual trustee. I can send you a six shipper + label + PayPal for the allotment of extra bottles, along with a little thank you box.

"Adjunct Brackish is a variation on our dark farmhouse ale with sea salt and grains of paradise. This version was blended from four different wine barrels...one with blackberries, one with cacao nibs, one with vanilla beans and one with simply the base beer. The result is a beer with multiple layers of complexity."

Major ISO if anyone can part with some. Have casa member beers, etc FT or Cost + label + thank you so much.

Well, I guess that calls for a change of plans. I'll be at SARA tomorrow at around opening. I really don't the know the area, though, so if any one can recommend a good, nearby place to eat I'd appreciate that.

AJ's Market just up the street from the Trailer Park Brewery.

Get the falafel and order spicy AF

or

Stop in Scotts Valley and grab tacos at Los Gallos

or

go to Aptos Street BBQ and get the Tri Tip or Rib sammich on garlic bread

Sante has never really done a WTF beer have they? I mean like a Bruery abomination.

So, first time at the SARA taproom. I got there an hour early so it was nice to find the surrounding area was residential and had a small town feel. Being right by the high-way, I was expecting a rather industrial area.

Had four beers: Appreciation, Full Hands In, Vanilla Joe, and a splash of Transmission Received. All were very solid. Pretty easily the best taproom offering I've had.

Full Hands In was my favorite. It had the largest funk profile, and in my opinion, the most depth without sacrificing balance. Following that was Appreciation. It reminded me of LPF but with the funk taking more of a back seat to the berry flavor. Vanilla Joe and Transmission Received were both quite good, with preference to Vanilla Joe for drinkability, but without any barrel character to add dimension I was hoping for more deep roast flavors.

Got three bottles of Adjunct Brackish because I love blackberries in beer. I've never liked vanilla in wild ales, though, so we'll see if SARA is the exception.

Oh, and the atmosphere at the taproom was great. It was quiet and I liked the decor. Every one there seemed like good people.
