Lookingto continue my brew tour of classic styles. I never have had a Boch, does Amberbock count? Hahahaha, so would like to pick up a six pack of someone's Boch so I know what I am l shooting for.

Who makes a true to style Boch that I could use as a sample?

Usually the BJCP lists the 'Commercial Examples' in descending order starting with the 'most authentic/best example'. Einbecker Ur-Bock Dunkel is the first beer listed.

Weihenstepaner makes an awesome weizenbock

weizenbock is very different then regular bock. Weizenbock is a wheat beer. It's one of my favorites but it's hard to compare to a bock.

The standard bock is not so popular. Double bock is more prevalent. try Celebrator, Optimator or Salvator. Those 3 are good German examples and are widely distributed in the US.
