temp control freezer question

So I am looking into getting a 15 gallon conical. I also recently bought a chest freezer that I currently use as a fermentation chamber. I would also like to use the same freezer turned vertically for the conical to avoid having to purchase another one.

This will ruin the compressor from what I have read, but what if I also detach the compressor and then remount it to compensate. Will this work?

Any thoughts/feedback would be helpful...
