Really, more of a dork than a nerd, though.

Here's mine:
(Those are my sons in the picture)
It's an '01 Ducati SS 750ie
I have seen alot of bikes in member's galleries here. Looks like there's an awful lot of Sportster owners. My previous bike was a '98 XL1200 Sport, and I liked that bike alot but being raised on sportbikes I needed something that turned a little better without scraping the asphalt.
Those SVs seem to be quite the trackday setup. Not too pricey, lightweight and readily available. I couldn't tell what it was in your picture. I was kinda thinking that bike was a Thruxton or similar.e lo said:That's a gorgeous ride. I'll own a Duc someday, but it's a dream deferred until after grad school for sure. I ride a Suzuki SV650, and I love it to death. I put a complete Gixxer front end on it, and I put a 636R shock on the back, along with a double handful of other track-oriented mods to it. There's nothing better at a track day than having some guy on a Gixxer 1K or an R1 blast by my little 70-ish horsepower bike on the front straight, only to pass him on the brakes into T1. It's been a great track learning bike, and it's still (sorta) comfortable to commute a little on. Plus, it's a V-twin, so I get along with the harley guys at gas stations.
One of my track day buddies got a Duc 749S to replace his stolen track day SV650, and that's just an amazing motorcycle. Someday...
